FABRIC ROLL DIRECTION

ROLLED TO ROLLED TO FRONT BACK (OVER ROLL) (UNDER ROLL)

All fabrics as standard, are rolled to the back.

Please note that all Blockout fabrics have a white backing with the exception of Vibe & Le Reve that have a colour coordinated backing. The backing on these fabrics will be visible wrapped around the tube at the top of the blind when ordered as back rolled. It is recommended that roller blinds ordered with a white backing be ordered front rolled.

Outside mounting blinds, rolling to back is recommended so fabric sits closer to architrave/wall, minimising light gaps. Some inside mount applications may require more clearance due to window locks and other obstructions that protrude from the window, having the fabric direction rolled to the front may be necessary.

Corner windows must be rolled to the front with either mount to avoid a large gap where the two blinds meet.

Light Gap A light gap of approximately 15-20mmA between fabric and frame will beA present to allow for fi ttings on each side

The fabric roll direction of the front blind must be rolled to the front. The fabric roll direction of the rear/back blind must be rolled to the back.

Please note that all Blockout fabrics have a white backing with the exception of Vibe & Le Reve that have a colour coordinated backing. The backing on these fabrics will be visible wrapped around the tube at the top of the blind when ordered as back rolled. It is recommended that roller blinds ordered with these fabrics be ordered as front rolled. If the window frame depth is smaller than 120mm, it is suggested to mount two single blinds on the window; a light fi lter/sunscreen that is mounted on the inside and a blockout which is outside mounted. If this option is preferred please refer to the single blind order form and complete as two separate blinds. If the double brackets are used on a smaller depth frame the blind will protrude into the room. For outside mounted blinds using double brackets rolling the front blind fabric to the back is recommended. This allows the fabric to sit closer to the wall, leaving less gap. FACE MOUNT STEP 1 - CHECK MEASUREMENTSFACE MOUNT It is important to securely attach the brackets to the mounting surface. To achieve this the included screws must secure into wood studs, otherwise a fastener is required for secure mounting (not included). Make sure the fastener you purchase is suitable for the weight of the product. If you are unsure, please contact Quicksew so we can suggest the correct fastener.

STEP 2 - BRACKETS There are two brackets provided per blind. One bracket is the Chain Drive bracket and the other is the Pin End Bracket.

If you have ordered your controls at opposite sides, then the brackets will be a combination of a pin and chain end on the one bracket. The Chain drive bracket FACE MOUNT FACE MOUNT goes to the side that has the operating chain. RECESS MOUNT RECESS MOUNT Pin (Idle) End Chain (Drive) End

STEP 3 - BRACKET MOUNTING Face Mount: Position the brackets at each end fl ush with the window frame and screw into place, using two screws per bracket. The chain drive bracket will go to the side you have allocated to have the control chain. Recess Mount: Position the bracket as far back in the recess as possible. If you have limited depth, then mount the bracket forward in the recess as shown, this will result in the blind protruding out of the recess. Mount the Chain Drive Bracket hard up against the side of the reveal (frame) and the Pin End a few mms in from the RECESS MOUNT FACE MOUNT reveal (frame). RECESS MOUNT FACE MOUNT

Vertical Blinds are available in width from 600mm up to 2800mm, and drop from 600mm up to 3000mm Please Note: • Vertical Blinds are operated by a single wand, the length of the wand is determined by the blind drop. Should a different size wand be required, please note this on the order form • All Vertical Blinds when initially installed will appear slightly shorter than required due to being tightly packed for delivery, however the blind will drop when the fabric settles (approx. 2 weeks)

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS STEP 1 - CHECK MEASUREMENTS Face Fix Measure the width from the outer edge of the architrave to the opposite edge. Measure the drop from the top of the architrave to where you want the blind to fi nish. We recommend 10mm off the fl oor and 50-100mm below the frame. We recommend that you take the track past the architrave each side. This will give more privacy and better light control. The distance you take the track is entirely optional. We highly recommend that you add at least 60-100mm. Make sure that you don’t Face Fix Bracket Recess Fit Bracket have any obstructions. Recess Fix Measure the width from the inside of the window frame from left sideFace to right Fix Bracketside. Measure the drop from the top of the inside recess to the base of the inside sill. Measure in 3 places Left, Centre and Right and take the smallest of the three measurements. Depth Required: You will need a depth of 135mm for the blind to fi t neatly inside the recess for 127mm slats and 97mm depth for 89mm slats. Minimum depth required for both slat sizes is 50mm. This will result in the blind slightly protruding out of the recess but will not detract from the product. Important: Do not make any deductions as our factory will do this to ensure a perfect fi t.

If fi tting the blind to the architraves (face fi x) and the track has an overhang that goes past the window frame, put the end brackets level with the edge of the architrave. For recessed mounts or face mounts without the overhang, then position the end brackets at least 100mm’s in from the end. Evenly space the brackets along the window frame. For Face Fix, make sure to use the central screw hole on the bracket, this will then give you fl exibility to be able to adjust the blind up and down easily to the desired height, without having Face Fix Mount Bracket Recess Fix Bracket to reposition the screw.

CHILD SAFETY CORD CLEAT 2A 1 2 3 2B

WARNING To avoid creating a possible strangulation hazard for children, the corded internal window covering must be installed in such a way that loose cord or ball chain cannot form a loop 220mm or longer as measured along the perimeter of the cord. It should be secured at a height of more than 1600mm above fl oor level to ensure child safety. A cord or ball chain guide may be installed lower than 1600mm above fl oor level, if the cord or ball chain is suffi ciently secured or tensioned to prevent a loop of 220mm or longer being formed. If the cord or ball chain guide is installed lower than 1600mm above fl oor level, it must be installed so as to: A. prevent a child from being able to remove the cord or ball chain and; B. prevent a loop of 220mm or longer from being formed. If a cleat is used to secure the cord or ball chain, it must be at least 1600mm above fl oor level because a child is capable of unwinding cord or ball chain from a cleat.

Consultation, Supply and Installation Process Quicksew is committed to building great relationships and offering personal attention to new and existing customers. The following procedure outlines the Quicksew process from initial customer contact to delivery and installation of product.

Step 1. Initial contact Customers can contact Quicksew in person by visiting our Head Offi ce Showroom in Bathurst or by telephone, email or via our website - www.quicksew.com.au. Our sales and marketing team actively seek out new and existing customers through email, telephone and personal contact.

Step 2. Introduction to Quicksew services and site consultation A Quicksew representative arranges an appointment to meet with the prospective client to introduce our products and services utilising our catalogue, product samples and website. They will engage in discussion about site specifi cations, budget and any initial customer design ideas. We listen to the customer’s requirements and needs so that we may supply the best product options that are fi t for purpose.

Step 3. Sharing of information - Site plans, schedules and timeframe Information is shared in person, online, via telephone, video conferencing and through emails. The customer will be asked for all available information about the site including plans/drawings, schedules/design brief or specifi cations and the timeframe for works completion.

Step 4. Estimating & quoting - quantifying & preliminary pricing Based on the design brief, our estimating staff quantify products and fabrics and work out a preliminary quote that best refl ects the customer’s needs within budget. This is taken back to the customer for discussion and approval.

Step 5. Design concept & colour boards Our design team put together colour and design concepts that refl ect the look & feel that the customer is trying to achieve. Fabrics and products are showcased on colour boards as a visual representation of the initial quote. During the presentation, we seek feedback from the customer and offer alternatives and solutions before a decision is made.

www.quicksew.com.au PagePage 26 4 FFreecallreecall 1800 065 068 CapabilityCapability StatementStatement

Step 6. Final quote & customer commitment – Letter of Intent/Purchase Order Once the fi nal colour, fabric and product selections have been made, the fi nal quote is sent to the customer for approval and supply timeframes discussed again. The customer then accepts the quote and commits to the sale.

Step 7. Handover to production Upon receipt of either a letter of intent or purchase order, the quote is handed over to the Operations Department where it is entered as a sale and a deposit invoice raised and sent to the customer. The Operations Manager will contact the customer to arrange a fi nal check measure. The project timeframe, site access and currency of plans will be discussed with the customer at this point.

Step 8. Ordering & manufacturing Once the deposit has been received, the quoted products are ordered and manufactured. The customer will be notifi ed if there are any supply issues regarding fabrics or product and if necessary, an alternative product offered. During the manufacturing and receival of goods, all products are inspected for quality assurance to make sure they meet specifi cations. Furniture is stored at Quicksew’s freight facility until all items on the quote are complete and ready for delivery.

Step 9. Delivery & installation The Operations Manager will contact the site to arrange a suitable and convenient time for installation of window treatments and the delivery of furniture. Please note that the extent of furniture placement is dependent upon the initial agreement during consultation and acceptance of the quote terms and conditions.
