Tetsuya Ishiyama is a famous Japanese artist. He had exhibitions in and the USA before. He started making ceramic since he was 18, and it becomes a medium to capture his thoughts. One of his signature works is to mix glass with ceramic. He believes both of them are the same kind of material as they are part of the world and can last forever. The idea is to make half of the work like floating on the water.

The new series – ‘Dear Deer’ is inspired by the herd of deer living near his home. He is attracted by the deer horn and come up with the series. The deer are all sleeping-like to create a peaceful feeling.
