Temporary Closure of Manor Farm Road
TAKE NOTICE that in pursuance of Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, the County Council of Somerset have made an Order PROHIBITING ALL TRAFFIC from proceeding along Manor Farm Road from 10m east of the junction with Paywell Lane, eastwards for a distance of 5 metres.
This order will enable Kier for Bristol Water to carry out new water supply works in this road.
The Order becomes effective on 08 June 2015 and will remain in force for eighteen months. The works are expected to last for 5 days. While the closure is in operation an alternative route will be signed as detailed below.
ALTERNATIVE ROUTE
From the eastern end of the closure proceed in a south easterly direction along Velvet Bottom to the junction with the B3371. Turn right and proceed in a south westerly direction along the B3371 to the junction with the B3135. Turn right and proceed in south westerly and north westerly directions along the B3135, Shipham Road and Shipham Hill to the junction with Longbottom. Turn right and proceed in south easterly and north easterly directions along Longbottom, Tynings Lane and Manor Farm Road to the western end of the closure and vice versa.
