James M. & Ann Dobbins Baseball Stadium A 3,500-seat facility, the James M. & Ann Dobbins Baseball Complex serves as the home for baseball at many levels in the Da- vis community. In addition to being the home of the Aggies since 1986, the stadium has hosted Baseball and various adult leagues throughout the spring, summer and fall. In a massive effort spearheaded by then head baseball coach Phil Swimley, Dobbins Stadium was built almost completely with volunteer time, materials and funds. Previously known as Com- munity Stadium, the Dobbins ballpark hosted its first UC Davis home game on February 18, 1986. However, the facility was still incomplete at that time. The volunteer efforts continued through that decade to transform the stadium into a full-service colle- giate facility. In 2002, Dobbins Stadium was further enhanced to include permanent concessions, restroom facilities and a press box. The Dobbins stadium dimensions are 310 feet down each line, 385 in the alleys and Eight years later, a new scoreboard adorned the right field wall. 410 to straight-away center.
