They, too, join the Khalsa and make five important promises: 1To wear five signs or symbols of the faith. 2 To follow the teachings of the Sikh Gurus and the holy book called the Guru Granth Sahib. 3 To help people in need. 4 To give up alcohol and tobacco and to be faithful to their husbands or wives. 5 To work hard and to give to charity. Vaisakhi 2018 Sikhs are devoted to their religion and Vaisakhi is a time when they can renew and show this devotion to their God. They are prepared to give up everything for their God in the belief that it will bring them happiness, it will last and it will help people. Help us to show kindness and loyalty to others every day so that we become trusted and faithful friends. .
