Cricket—News of Old Boys Kundai Magimu was a progeny of St George's College and le the college in 2014 in Form 3 before he would have wrien his O-levels. He went to St Benedict’s College in Johannesburg and furthered his sporng career, especially in cricket. He subsequently has gone to Tukkies University, and has just been in the Tukkies winning cricket team that has won the South African Universies Intervarsity Cup. He was also named as a surprise package in a 14-man unofficial SA Varsity team of the tournament for his tally of 10 wickets and great variaon and skilful death bowling. He also picked up two MTN PULSE Best bowler awards. We wish him well in his quest to; first get SA cizenship, and then hopeful- ly a chance to be eligible to play for a South African team in future years. He will then join the elite company of Colin de Grandhomme (OG 2004) who has been represenng New Zealand for the past couple of years. He has had a very successful year where he was instrumental in geng New Zealand through to the Finals of the World Cup Cricket T/20 tournament in the UK this year. It was unfortunate he never bowled or baed in the Super Over when England beat the ’Kiwis’ to claim their victory aer their dramac e aer 20 overs and an Eliminator Over to be played (much like the St George’s in our own T/20 final). We salute Colin and give him all our support from St. George's College and wish him well in his future internaonal crickeng career.
