Harper is respected for her passion, technical ability and artful eye. Born to a mother who often modeled, Harper was schooled in painting, drawing, dance and music from an early age. She spent her childhood school breaks and summers in Miami accompanying her French grandmother, a stylist, on sets. There, she became fascinated with the movement of hair and learned the power that color plays in makeup and the creation of image. This ignited her desire to follow in the footsteps of her grandmother and pursue beauty and fashion styling as a career. “I fell in love with the expression, freedom and possibilities that hair and makeup provide in creating a pure and simple beauty,” Harper says. “Transforming people with an aesthetic approach became my lifelong passion.” As a young adult, Harper earned a business school degree, but then decided to pursue her true vocation with formal training in haircutting and color at the Redken Premier School. At Redken, she explored the possibilities of the entire color cabinet; she has often visited the school to instruct others in hair and makeup techniques. 7 Since then, Harper has developed a sharp sense of aesthetics and an artist’s touch that have made her one of the country’s most sought- after professionals in the fashion industry. She is skilled in a wide range of hair styling and makeup techniques, expert at creating extremely clean and natural looks as well as more dramatic effects. Whether creating a natural, bare-skinned effect or working with wigs, extensions, or accessories. “I find inspiration in each model I work with, and I love creating a natural beauty,” she says. “But I also love to push boundaries in my work!” Harper brings a unique vision to every shoot. This vision has translated onto many Red Carpet events. Among the celebrities with whom Harper has worked with are, Sofia Vergara, Wilmer Valderrama, Zooey Deschanel, Alyson Hannigan, Scott Porter, Robert Baker and Debra Hayward. Harper is regularly requested to contribute her talent to various magazines, ad campaigns, and runway shows. Her work has appeared in Glamour, Elle, Marie Claire, Vanity Fair, and Cosmopolitan; past advertising clients include Air France, Fujifilm, J. Crew, Cynthia Rowley, Skechers, True Religion Brand Jeans, and Sony. Harper also has participated in Milan, Montego Bay, and New York fashion exhibitions, including New York’s venerated Fashion Week. Though Harper’s artistry has made her a widely respected figure in the fashion industry, her down-to-earth demeanor and in-depth understanding of the creative process have made her a particular favorite of many professionals in the fashion industry. She collaborates with a broad range of artists, stylists, photographers, including Collin Stark, Phillip Bloch, Rubin Singer, David Anthony, Dagmara, Dominick Guillemot, Frederike Helwig, and Roger Neve. 8 Today, Harper spends her time between Los Angeles and New York. During her few spare moments of relaxation, she enjoys running and playing classical piano. 9 .

Historically, boy children have been more highly prized than girl children. We hear horror stories from foreign lands about the killing of girl babies, in order for the family to have a boy child. Even in the United States, our society is geared to privilege boys over girls. We see it in schools, employment, the courts. These issues were on the mind of playwright Diana Son while writing Boy. Diana, a first — generation American of Korean descent, was born in Delaware. She has been writing for theater since 1983 and shared some thoughts about the creation of Boy. Where did the idea for Boy come from? One day I was thinking about my mom and how she was one of six daughters because my grandparents kept trying to have a boy They never did, so they eventually adopted a nephew, which was the custom in Korea, in those days My mother always spoke about her adopted brother in reverential and affectionate

From: The T. A. Barron Official Website, www.tabarron.com Film Disney Sets ‘Lord Of The Rings’ Co-Writer Philippa Boyens To Write Young Merlin Movie by Mike Fleming Jr November 17, 2015 1:24pm EXCLUSIVE: Disney has set Philippa Boyens to script an adaptation of The Merlin Saga, based on the series of books written by T.A. Barron. Life Of Pi‘s Gil Netter is producing. It’s a coup for the studio to land Boyens, who hasn’t really worked outside her long collaboration with Peter Jackson and Fran Walsh, with whom she shared the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay in 2002 for the Best Picture winner The Return Of The King. She has teamed with Jackson and Walsh on The Lord Of The Rings and The Hobbit trilogies, as well as King Kong and The Lovely Bones. It turned out that when Sean Bailey’s Disney division called, it was a fortuitous moment, and the formative story of the iconic wizard was the right subject matter. Boyens came from New Zealand to meet with Bailey and supervising execs Tendo Nagenda and Foster Driver, and Merlin was a character and a world that appealed to her. Also, Jackson and Walsh are only 1 From: The T. A. Barron Official Website, www.tabarron.com just beginning to figure out what next after finally being able to poke their heads out of Middle Earth. So there is time. Boyens has a good relationship with Alan Horn, who at Warner Bros greenlit The Hobbit and was an exec producer on the trilogy.
