ETUDES

Ballet and choreography by Harald Lander Music by Knudaage Riisager {after Czerny) By arrangement with Boosey & Hawkes, Inc., Sole Agent Scenery and Costumes by Rolf Gerard Lighting by Nananne Porcher

This ballet may be considered a pictorial representation of the work which must be accomplished by dancers throughout the long and difficult years which culminate in a perfect fusion of art and technique. It illustrates the complete development of classical ballet from the basic five positions to pure vi rtuosity.

The 'Etudes" of Czerny were used to accompany this demonstration because of the appropriate character of the music.
