Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, or commonly known as KL, is the capital and largest city in Malaysia. The etymology of Kuala Lumpur, means “the muddy confluence”; “Kuala” is the point to rivers join together or an estuary, and “Lumpur” means mud. Within the suggestion on the name Kuala Lumpur was generated, record that the name was given by the tin-miners, looking for new place to extract the precious metal during the early 1800’s, and apparently starting a settlement were today lays Masjid Jamek Mosque, on the confluence of the river Klang and Gombak. Belum Rainforest

Dating back 130 million years to when Dinosaurs still roamed the earth, the Belum Temenggor Rainforest is one of the oldest rainforest on our planet. This rainforest is home to some of the most endangered, unique and stunning animals that inhabit Earth. Rare sightings of the Malayan Tiger have been reported of which there are only an estimated 340 remaining in the wild as well as other endangered animals such as Malaysian Sunbear, the White-handed Gibbon, the Asiatic Elephant, and the Malayan Tapir. Besides this there are thousands of other animals and fascinating plants which can be discovered in Belum, most notably being three different species of Raflesia (largest flower in the world) that can be found. Langkawi

Day 2 Kuala Lumpur

For first-timers to the city, this is the perfect tour to introduce you to the beauty of old and modern Kuala Lumpur! Travel to the outskirt of Kuala Lumpur, and start the daily tour with the visit of Batu Caves Batu Caves attracts thousands of worshippers and tourists, especially during the annual Hindu festival, Thaipusam. A limestone outcrop located just north of Kuala Lumpur, Batu Caves has three main caves featuring temples and Hindu shrines. Its main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city centre. Monkeys frolic around the caves, and it is a popular spot for rock climbing enthusiasts. Paintings and scenes of Hindu Gods can also be seen in the Ramayana Cave After the visit to the caves, journey back to City Centre, and continue the tour with a visit to Kuala Lumpur heritage sites, the Sri Mahamariamman Temple, a stroll around Chinatown (and its wet market time permitting), Independence Square with the colonial buildings and Jamek Mosque, built on the river confluence. Day 5 Cameron Highlands

Hop into the Land Rover cruising along with the picturesque rolling tea garden toward 6,666 feet above sea level, towards the peak of Gunung Brinchang. Our nature guide will pick you up from your hotel in the morning. Listen to your guide “Tea Talk” while enjoying with the magnificent view of the surrounding area. An interpretive walk with the nature guides around the Mossy Forest will reveal some of the exotic floras on earth, like the Pitcher plant, Orchids, Primitive Ferns, Spices, and Medicinal Plants. A short drive down from the mountain will bring you to the Sungei Palas ‘BOH’ Tea Factory. A factory tour will be conducted before you may appreciate the many varieties of tea offered at the Tea Shop. At the end of the tour, transfer back to the hotel.

Day 11 Belum Rainforest

Explore the Royal Belum State Park, one of the oldest rainforests in the world, with an exciting lake cruise and forest hike. In the morning, meet our captain at Belum Rainforest Resort lobby; after a short drive to the jetty, board the boat and cruise to the starting points of your hike. You will be exploring the Royal State Park, or Upper Belum, located at the northern area of the Belum- Temenggor National Park. The upper Belum is a wilder area than the lower Temenggor, since the access to the park and human activities are more regulated. You will be cruising the Temenggor lake by boat, trek into its rainforest, spot Rafflesia buds or the flower if you are lucky. Learn about the endemic wildlife and the danger is facing dangers from excessive poaching and the loss of habitat. Visit a native settlement and weather permitting bathe in a waterfall. A light packed lunch will be served during the activity. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to the jetty by boat and proceed to the resort overland. Application to enter the State park, needs to be submitted at least 7 working days prior touring day. A copy of the passport, needs to be submitted along in due time.

Day 12 Belum Rainforest - Langkawi

You will drive from Belum Rainforest and will be transferred to Kuala Kedah jetty. Several stops can be done along the way. We have arranged a ferry from Kuala Kedah Jetty, to Langkawi Jetty. You are advised to be at Kuala Kedah Jetty, Ferry Line Venture Counter, 30 minutes prior departure. Departure time, might be affected and delayed by the tides or weather. Kindly make sure that your belongings and valuables are packed in water proof bags. You will be picked up from Langkawi Jetty and will be transferred to the Resort.
