It was RESOLVED that the Minutes of the Meeting of the Council held on u" June 2019 be confirmed as a correct record and signed by the Mayor.

36. DECLARATIONS OF INTEREST

Councillor J Thomas declared an interest in Agenda Item No. S(J) - Land at Areley Common, , Stourport-on-Severn as he lived in close proximity to the site and would take no part in any debate.

37. MAYORS COMMUNICATIONS

The Mayor and Deputy Mayor's engagements were circulated and noted. Councillor Mrs N Martin and Councillor D Russell had helped the Mayor with some of his engagements as the Deputy Mayor had been on annual leave.

The Mayor informed Members that the Riverside Paddling Pool would be open on Wednesday tih June 2019. He also reminded Members to let the Town Clerk know if they intended to attend the visit to Envirosort. 12. Neighbourhood Plan.

There was no update.

42. AREA COUNTY ASSOCIATION OF LOCAL COUNCILS {CALC) MEETING

Councillor Williams had attended the Area Worcestershire CALC Meeting as he was the representative for the Town Council. He informed Council of the following:

Derek Killingworth had been elected as the Chairman for the Area Meetings.

If Town/Parish Councils were to raise their precept, it was thought better to raise it by a cash amount and not percentage.

- At the Executive meeting on ro" July, Derek Killingworth was elected as Chairman.

Worcestershire CALC had a new Executive Officer in place.

A presentation had been made by the Police & Crime Commissioner (PCC) and he informed Members that 215 new police officers were in the process of being trained. He also stated that the PCC would help to pay for village gatesNehicle Activated Signs/Smart Water.

- There was lots of training planned for the Town Council would pay if any Members wished to attend.

- There had been a problem in Bromsgrove with Travellers purchasing land and as Bromsgrove District Council didn't have a Local Plan, this was causing complications.

43. TOWN AND PARISH COUNCIL SURVEY 2019

The Town Clerk would submit comments to the Police & Crime Commissioner.

44. APPLICATION FOR STREET TRADING CONSENT

Members approved the Street Trading Consent, although asked the Town Clerk to comment that the vendor should be mindful of where he was parked.

45. UPDATE FROM THE TOWN CLERK

The Town Clerk ran through the following items for the Civic Hall:

- A request had been received for a Blue Plaque in memory of Clifford T Ward to be placed on the side of the Civic Hall.

Members agreed to remove the Severn Trow from the Civic Hall and be placed in the Mayor's Parlour in the Civic Centre.

Display boards on the outside of the Civic Hall should only display. one large professional poster.

46. ACCOUNTS

The Town Clerk reported that Accounts for May totalling £33,S 13 .41 had been paid since the last meeting and it was RESOLVED that the report be noted and approved. A Schedule of the Accounts paid was appended at the end of these Minutes, in the Council's Minute Book, and was available for general inspection.

6. RENT AL INCOME FROM OFFICE ACCOMMODATION

The Town Clerk informed the Committee that one member of staff was off on long term sickness.

The Treasurer asked Members to be mindful that at some stage in the future, if the Town Council took on more services from the District Council this could have an impact on staffing and costs.
