DIVISION I 125 Indoor Track DIVISION I 2002 Championships Highlights Orange Rush: Tennessee used dominating performances from its sprinters to claim its first team indoor title March 8-9 at Arkansas. Justin Gatlin won the 60- and 200-meter dashes to spark Tennessee. He also was the catalyst for the Volunteers' 2001 outdoor title by winning the 100- and 200-meter dashes. Leonard Scott contributed 14 Tennessee team points by placing second in the 60-meter dash and third in the 200. In addition, Marc Sylvester was the runner-up in the 400-meter dash and Gary Kikaya was third in the 800-meter run. Gatlin, Kikaya and Scott joined with Dwayne Bell to put the finishing touch on the championship by placing second in the 1,600-meter relay. Miguel Pate and Ron Bramlett won individual titles for Alabama. Pate captured the long jump and was second in the triple jump. Bramlett was the first across the finish line in the 60-meter high hur- dles. LSU's Walter Davis was the only repeat champion from 2001, as he won his second straight triple jump title. He also was second in the long jump. The only meet record also belonged to the Tigers. Alleyene Francique covered the 400-meter dash in 45.58 seconds, shaving two-hundredths of a second off the previous mark.
