Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution: Report on the 1999 Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2010 (SB.394): Motion made: That the Senate do receive the Report of the Committee on the Review of the 1999 Constitution on a Bill to alter the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria for the Establishment of the National Industrial Court (Senator - Enugu West).

9. Motion: Unprecedented Victory of the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the African Women Championship (AWC) 2010: Motion made: That the Senate notes the unprecedented 6th victory of the Super Falcons of Nigeria at the just concluded 7th edition of the African Women Championship (AWC) in South Africa;

Notes also that the Super Falcons put up a spectacular performance of an unprecedented total number of 19 goals from the group stages to the final which ensured their hauling of all the available awards on offer to wit; the Highest Goal Scorer, Most Valuable player and the Fair Play award; and

Notes further that with the consistency and resilience of the team and the victory in South Africa, the Super Falcons have booked their place at the top of the table of African Female teams and 27th position in the FIFA world rankings. No. 43 Wednesday, 24th November, 2010 615

Accordingly resolves to: (i) Send a letter of commendation to the Super Falcons for their superlative performance;

(ii) Congratulate the National Sports Commission (NSC), the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) and all Nigerians on this great achievement;

(iii) Urge the President, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to motivate the members and crew of the Super Falcons in order to maintain the tempo; and

(iv) Urge the National Sports Commission (NSC) and the Nigeria Football Association (NFA) to do everything possible to ensure the success of the team in the Women's World Cup in Germany 2011 (Senator - Bayelsa West) .
