Officer afternoon traffic court for several cases.

Officer handled a traffic control assignment at St Michaels Schools.

Officers attending community policing at St. Michaels Fire Department and Sam’s Pizza with Jr. Police Academy

Officer located a suspicious vehicle behind the Carpenter St. Saloon. Investigation found two workers loading a work truck after having cleaned the kitchens at the Carpenter St. Saloon. Everything ok.

February 6

Officer assisted Talbot County Sheriffs Dept. with an ATL wanted subject.

Officer arrested and transported wanted subject to detention center for Talbot Sheriff’s Office.

Officers assisted a motorist locked out of their vehicle at the Business Park.

Chief handled a Community Policing Event at 301 Talbot Street.

Officers responded to a possible verbal dispute with several subjects on Dodson Ave.

Officer conducted a patrol check of the town office, finding lights on inside of the building. Investigation found a town employee just leaving the office. No other problems found.

February 7

Officer responded to 400 N. Talbot St. for a Theft.

Officer observed a parking violation on St. Mary’s Square. 1 ticket issued.

Officer observed a parking violation at Mulberry and Church. 1 ticket issued.

Officer assisted EMS on North St.

Officer observed a parking violation near Talbot and Grace St. 1 ticket issued.

Officer observed a parking violation near Talbot and Thompson St. 1 ticket issued.

Officer assisted TCSO with a suspicious vehicle at Sam’s.

Officer responded to S. Talbot St. for an animal complaint. A dog that was reported missing was later found at the neighbor’s house safe and unharmed.

Officer conducted a K9 scan for TCSO at Rt. 33 and Blueberry Acres.

February 8

Officer responded to Mitchell St. for a check welfare.

Officer issued 1 parking ticket at Church and Mulberry.

Officer assisted Oxford PD with a K9 Scan at Rt. 333 and Hels Half. K9 not needed.

Officer assisted TCSO with a K9 scan at Chilcutt and Dover. Positive alert, Driver was arrested for CDS and paraphernalia.

Talbot Center alerted SMPD for a possible drunk driver heading to St. Michaels. The vehicle was described as a green pickup truck with a tag light out, driving all over the road. Ptl. Johnson attempted to local the vehicle. The vehicle was gone on arrival.

February 9

Officer performed a speed enforcement assignment on Railroad Ave. No violations observed.

A resident walked into the police station, who was visibly upset and shaken, advised while walking their dogs on the walking trail another dog, who was unleashed and aggressive attacked their two dogs. Officer was able to locate the offending party and took enforcement action. The offending party was advised the leash law will be observed.

Officer responded to a parking complaint behind C-Street. Enforcement action was taken against the vehicle’s owner. While conversing with the vehicle’s owner he advised he started to call police last night because he disclosed that when he arrived home to his residence on Railroad Avenue, in the early morning hours, an intoxicated female was found asleep on his couch. The subject advised he moved the female to his bedroom and he then slept on the couch. The female had apparently gained entry through an unlocked door. The subject advised he did not want to file a police report press charges and advised the female left his residence after sleeping off her intoxication. The subject believes that the female, whom he is familiar with, did not know her ex- boyfriend no longer lives at the house and that he is now the new tenant. This document serves to memorialize the incident should a complaint arise in the future.

Officer conducted a traffic stop at Dr. and Fremont St. Subject was suspended and had a warrant through Easton PD.

Officer observed a parking violation near E. Maple and New Lane. 1 ticket issued.

February 10

Officer took a report for low hanging wires on Talbot St. at Seymour Ave. Low wires located but were not a traffic hazard. Choptank Electric contacted for repairs

February 11

Officers assisted a motorist at Martingham Drive per Talbot County Sheriff’s request.

February 12

Officer responded to 202 S. Talbot St for an alarm activation.

Officers conducted community policing at St. Michaels Police Department with Jr. Police Academy.

Officer attended a meeting at the town office.

February 13

Officer assisted with traffic and safety checks at the St Michaels Schools.

Officer assisted the St Michaels VFD with a possible electrical fire at the residence of 105 Lee Str.

Officer assisted the Talbot Co. Sheriff’s Office with an attempt to locate a wanted burglary suspect.

Officer assisted the Caroline Co. Sheriff’s Office with an attempt to locate witness for a court case.

Officer completed a check welfare of an individual at Spencer Dr.

Officer assisted the Talbot Co. Sheriffs Dept. with attempting to locate stolen property from the earlier burglary.

Officer completed a patrol check at the Perry Cabin Park. Officer observed water bubbling from the ground. Town maintenance was notified and responded for a possible broken water .

Officer observed a suspicious vehicle parked in Bradley Park. Subject was identified and advised of park hours. Officer responded to S. Talbot St. to assist EMS

February 14

Officer was dispatched to S. Talbot to conduct a check welfare of a subject who left Easton Hospital with an I.V. still in his arm. Subject was located and found to be OK. Hospital instructed him to remove the I.V. himself.

Officer received a report of police information from a subject on S. Talbot St.

Officer received a parking complaint about a truck on Talbot St. at Willow. Vehicle GOA.

Officer assisted a town resident in gaining access to their vehicle after locking the keys inside at the Riverwoods apartments.

Officer was flagged down by a juvenile while still on Mitchell St. Subject advised his great grandmother fell and needed help getting up. EMS responded to assist with lifting. No further action needed.

Officer and MSP assisted a disabled motorist on Marengo St. Vehicle pushed out of roadway and given a ride home.

Officer assisted MSP at South Talbot and Lincoln Ave. with a civil dispute over child custody and assault.

February 15

Officer responded to 502 Seymour Ave for a reported house fire. All residents evacuated from the residence and scene secured until the fire department arrived.

Officer handled a commercial alarm at the middle school. Staff located on scene.

Officer closed S. Talbot St. for a short time to assist a 5K run from Tri-cycle and Run.

Officer handled an animal complaint on E. Chestnut St.

Officer took a report for police information. IR 20-0013

Officer handled a parking complaint on Carpenter Alley. Two warnings issued

Officer assisted a business owner at Talbot Street with locking the doors to the business because the locking mechanism wasn’t working properly.

Officer completed a welfare check of an intoxicated subject by request of a family member at S. Talbot Street. Subject located and had a sober friend to assist. No issues.

Officer assisted EMS with an intoxicated subject claiming chest pains from S. Talbot Street.

Officer completed a courtesy patrol check at the St Michaels Inn.

February 16

Officer handled a commercial alarm at Sprout. Accidental employee activation.

Officer conducted a traffic stop on S. Talbot St. resulting in a probable cause search and CDS arrest. CIR 20- 00014

Officer handled a traffic complaint on S. Talbot Street.

Officer handled a trespassing complaint at Limoncello which resulted in one subject being arrested and charged with numerous offenses.

Officer responded to SMPD and assisted with the arrest and processing of the suspect from the complaint at Limoncello. The suspect was transported to the Talbot County Detention Center where she threw up in the patrol vehicle on the way up the road. Due to her intoxication level she had to be transported to the hospital for observation. Cleared at 0730 hrs.

February 17

Officer handled a repair sign off at SMPD.

Officer completed monthly K-9 Training in Easton.

Officer took a report of police information from Child Protective Services.

Officer took a report for theft from the Inn at Perry Cabin. Case under investigation.

Officer completed a courtesy patrol check at the High’s Store on St Michael’s Rd.

Officer completed a courtesy patrol check at the St Michaels Motor Inn.

February 20

Officers handled a residential alarm on Brooks Lane. State Fire Marshal inspector on location testing alarm system.

Officers found a motorist parked on Talbot St. blocking traffic to drop off passengers. Driver contacted and vehicle removed.

Officer handled an animal complaint on W. Maple. Ave.

Officers responded to the high school for a report of a suicidal juvenile subject. Subject located and transported to Easton Memorial Hospital for an Emergency Petition.

Officers completed a courtesy patrol of the High’s Store on St Michaels Rd.

February 21

Officer delivered a barring notice to a subject on Manor St.

Officer responded to North St. for a verbal disagreement.

February 22

Officer handled an animal complaint. A loose Border Collie running up and down Chestnut St. Dog was not located but calls came in later advising the dog was hit by a vehicle and frantically ran away. A search was made again looking for the injured dog, which was not located.

Officer attended the St Michaels VFD Fireman’s Award Banquet at the Yacht Club.

Officer handled a traffic complaint on Green Street near Mulberry Street.

Officers responded to Mitchell Street for a disturbance. Subjects in apartment having a little get together and were a little loud. They were advised to keep the noise to a minimum. No other issues.

February 23

Officer responded to a marijuana smoking complaint. St. Mary’s Square. The subjects were contacted. No marijuana smoking was detected.

Officer conducted a warrant service on North St.

Officer assisted MSP at the intersection of Dover Rd. and Prospect St. for a K9 Scan.

February 24

Officer conducted a repair order signoff at SMPD.

Officer handled a minor motor vehicle collision that occurred on E. Chestnut St. Code 89

Officer handled a relay of town commissioner to Easton.

Officer completed a random building check at 125 Mulberry Street (Foxy’s Restaurant) and found an unlocked door leading to the kitchen area which gave access to the entire building. Officers completed an interior check of the building for occupants. No one located. Owner notified of unlocked door. After building checked, door locked at owner’s request.

February 25

Officer attended a town ethics committee meeting at the town hall.

Officer responded to the Riverwoods apartments for a check welfare call. Subject contacted and found to be ok.

Officers attended a Pancake Supper (Comm Policing Event) at 103 Willow Street in support of the St Michaels Boy Scout Troop.

Officers traveled to Hertrich Ford in Easton to pick up a police vehicle that was serviced.

Officers assisted TSO and Easton Police trying to locate a stolen vehicle which may have been in the St Michaels area. Vehicle not located.

Officers issued a warning for a vehicle parked Unregistered/Unattended (no registration plates) at the intersection of Fremont Street & Street. Vehicle will be towed if not moved.

February 26

Officer performed traffic survey Talbot and Canton St.

Officer responded to Maple St. for an alarm activation.

Officer and Administrative Assistant conducted Jr. Police Academy at the Airport located in Easton.

Officer responded to Talbot St. in an attempt to locate a vehicle driving without lights on.

Officer conducted a traffic stop which later resulted in SFST and a vehicle search.

Officer conducted speed enforcement radar near Perry Cabin Park. 1 speed warning was issued.

February 27

Officer responded to S. Talbot St. for an SERO sign off.

Officer handled a parking complaint at the intersection of Fremont and Canton St. Vehicle was observed without tags and on a public road. A vin check through Talbot Center advised no tags assigned to that vehicle. Nelson’s body shop removed vehicle. Vehicle owner was later notified and responsible for the tow .

February 28

Officers attended Coffee with a Cop at the St. Michaels Motor Museum.

Officer conducted an SERO sign-off at SMPD.

Officer handled a domestic standby at 102 Mitchell Street in reference to a child custody exchange.

Officer handled a minor motor vehicle accident near the Perry Cabin Inn Park.

Officer completed a courtesy patrol at the High’s Store in St Michaels.

Officer handled a suspicious vehicle complaint at E. Maple Ave. (Vehicle G.O.A.)

February 29

Officer handled a commercial alarm at the middle school.

Officer gave an intoxicated subject a ride to their residence.

Officer assisted EMS with an intoxicated female passenger in a vehicle on the shoulder of the road.

Officer completed a courtesy patrol check at the St Michaels Inn.
