A graduate student at Alabama working on his Master’s degree in accounting with a perfect 4.00 G.P.A., Jones is the first-ever four-time Capital One Academic All-America® selection. In 2009, he was named to the second team. He earned first team honors in 2010, 2011 and 2012. Jones has played all five positions on the offensive line for the Crimson Tide during his career. The winner of the Outland Trophy as the nation’s most outstanding interior offensive lineman in 2011, he was Alabama’s starting left tackle as a junior. Alabama’s starter at right guard in 2009 and 2010, he has been the Crimson Tide’s starting offensive center this season, helping the Crimson Tide earn a spot in the BCS national championship game for the third time in the last four years.
