Directions from Merignac Airport to Château Soulac

1. The airport road takes you to a roundabout, follow direction then go straight over at the second roundabout and straight afterwards take the second right hand turn onto the ROCADE, Direction Paris and .

2. Follow the Rocade until you cross over the huge suspension bridge, the Pont D'Aquitaine. As you leave the bridge move into the right hand lane and stay there, taking the SECOND filter lane to the right, DIRECTION LIBOURNE, and then again after a couple of kilometres you exit the Rocade on the LIBOURNE slip road.

3. There are traffic lights at the top of the sliproad, turn left onto the N89 / E70 following the dual carriageway up the hill, direction Libourne.

4. Stay on this dual carriageway to exit 9, Libourne which is also signed for St Emilion and Castillon

5. Stay on this road until you reach the exit signed for St Emilion and Castillon La Bataille. Turn right at the top of the slip road and follow the road all the way to Castillon La Bataille.

6. While you're on this road you'll pass signs for St Emilion on the hill on your left. Be very careful of the speed camera in St Pey D'Armens!

7. Pass through Castillon la Bataille, then Lamothe Montravel, then Moncaret. After this you will pass a sign for “Les Réaux” and shortly after it roundabout where you turn right for “St Suerin de Prats, , Gensac”

8. Follow this road through Les Granges, watching out for speed cameras, then on through St Seurin des Prats, then the bridge takes you over the Dordogne and into Pessac Sur Dordogne where the road bears right. Continue through the village past the small shops.

9. Just after the exit Pessac village sign take the turning right, sign posted for Flaujagues, Castillon and Juillac.

10. Follow this road all the way up the hill around the sharp bends up onto the top of the hill where the road bends sharply to the right and starts to descend. After about 1000 metres the road bends again to the right and you take the left hand turning up hill signed “Juillac 1.5” and if you look very closely there is also a sign for Soulac at this point.

11. After a few hundred meters the road swings left with a dead end ahead of you and a small sign pointing out Soulac to the right. Turn right here and Château Soulac is just at the bottom of this drive.
