Minutes of the Zoom Parish Council meeting held on Monday 15 March 2021 at 7.30 pm

Open Forum – no items

The minutes of the last meeting having been circulated were agreed – proposed Councillor Cooke – seconded Councillor J. Burdass – all in favour

Matters arising

Action 1 Results of the recent speed survey in were discussed – Councillor I. Burdass proposed that the PC go back to ERYC and request that a further survey should be carried out in an area more suitable to resolving the speeding problem – PC to request a site meeting at the most appropriate site, near to the Water Treatment plant – seconded Councillor J. Burdass – all in favour

Action 2 Defibrillator – Ruston Parva – The defibrillator at Ruston Parva had been removed from the wall at New Inn Farm, Ruston Parva due to the operational state of the unit given the cold weather and the absence of a cabinet heater. Councillor Harrison had liaised with ERYC who were carrying out some work on the lamp posts in the village and a new site had been identified to install the defibrillator. The cost of resiting the defibrillator was quoted at £426 (plus VAT) – Councillor I. Burdass proposed that the Parish Council should settle the account in full and defer the precept award of £200 to the Village Hall for the maintenance of the defibrillators for this year and the Parish Council cover the balance – seconded Councillor J. Burdass – all in favour

Potholes – Mill Farm, – report to ERYC Overhanging branches request cut ERYC – Donkey Bridge to Rattlings Lowthorpe Church to The Elms Action 3 A new warning signs for the s bends from Harpham into Kilham had been erected but too near to the s bends – Councillor I. Burdass proposed that the PC request ERYC move the sign further away from the s bends – seconded Councillor Burkill – all in favour

Councillor Sykes had received a concern from a resident in Lowthorpe that there were too many bright street lights in the village – requested Councillor Sykes to advise the complainant to contact ERYC street lighting department for their comments. A number of cats had been run over in Harpham

Action 4 The gates at either end of the public footpath from St. Johns Church to the Tennis Courts were discussed – Councillor I. Burdass proposed that the PC contact ERYC Public Rights of Way regarding the replacing of the gates – seconded Councillor Harrison – all in favour
