The Easter Carnival was well attended by OSA members and their successes on challenging maps have been reported. The NOL and OY events at Renmark provided some great competitive orienteering in splendid weather. The Flinders 3 Day is just upon us so hopefully all have their entries in!! Many of our members have been putting in a great deal of their time to running junior events and training in general. -

Federation Team Quota European Orienteering Championships Ticino- Switzerland 2018 About this document The number of competitors per Federation is limited according to quotas based on IOF Foot Orienteering Rules, see references. This document contains the quota for each member federation for each EOC competition. Competitors representing member Federations of the IOF, defined by the International Olympic Committee as belonging to the European continent, can compete in EOC. Competitors representing other member Federations of the IOF can participate in EOC but will not be eligible for European titles, medals or diplomas. Ojanaho and Alm: Orienteering Achievement of 2015
WorldofO.com - Press relase December 22nd 2015: The Orienteering Achievement of 2015 Ojanaho and Alm: Orienteering Achievement of 2015 Maja Alm and Olli Ojanaho have been awarded with “The Orienteering Achievement of 2015″ titles in the women’s and men’s class, respectively! Alm won the award with a big margin ahead of her team mate in the Danish National Team Ida Bobach. Among the men, Finnish junior Ojanaho was awarded the “The Orienteering Achievement of 2015″ with Swiss Daniel Hubmann in second. The vote has been decided by the big international Last year’s winner in the readership of WorldofO.com – more than 4000 unique men’s class was 96 year votes from around 60 different countries have been delivered – making these results very representative for the old Rune Haraldsson, this worldwide orienteering community. Big thanks go to all year an 18 year old junior voters and to the event sponsors PWT Five Days Toscana, Andalucia O-Meeting, Easter 4 , O-Ringen, Swiss O-week, wins the award. Results In the Men’s class Olli Ojanaho won with 25.2% of the votes ahead of Daniel Hubmann with 21.8%, Lucas Basset with 19.1% and Thierry Gueorgiou with 14.2%. Last year’s winner in the men’s class was 96 year old Rune Haraldsson, this year an 18 year old junior wins the award. In the Womens’s class Maja Alm won with an impressive 39.7% of the votes ahead of Ida Bobach with 27.4%, Annika Billstam with 7.9% and Galina Vinogradova with 7.8%. -

Foto: Sondre Skytteren. 2 Sluttrapport VM i orientering 2019 Forord Det er en stor ære å få lede et VM i orientering på hjemmebane. Vi satte oss en høy ambisjon om å bli «BEST WOC EVER». Dette betydde at vi måtte bruke det beste fra tidligere erfaringer som o-klubbene og o-kretsen hadde gjennom sine store o-arrangement sammen med sterkt fokus på nyutvikling. Like og gode konkurranseforhold for utøverne sto helt sentralt i vårt arbeide. Vi utfordret det inter- nasjonale forbundet (IOF), deres Event Advisors og de nasjonale kontrollørene for å samle alle tre finaledager på en arena på Mørk. På denne måten kunne vi samle ressursene og bygge en arena med høy kvalitet. Sarpsborg torg var arena for åpningsseremoni og to medaljeseremonier. Li- keledes mener vi det var særdeles viktig å legge publikumsløp i samme område som VM-løpene for å sikre et stort publikum på VM-finalene. Sigmund Vister Sammen med våre eiere (8 o-klubber og o-kret- Styreleder sen i Østfold) ble Sarpsborg og Spydeberg kom- muner helt sentrale samarbeidspartnere gjennom rollen som vertskapskommune og ansvarlig kom- mune for arena Mørk der VM-finalene gikk. -
