Whiteley and ward and Covid19

Dear Residents

Although many of you will be well up to date with the national picture on the spread of the virus, we, your local District Councillors, want to make sure that everyone can get help if they need it.

Need Help? For everyone your first line of support is family or neighbours but if you are unable to call on help then please contact the County Council on hantshelp4vulnerable on 0333 370 4000. This is available 9am to 5pm, 7 days a week.

Hampshire County Council will assess your situation and contact City Council or one of many voluntary groups which have set up to help people in our area and ask them to give you the help that you need.

If this contact is not possible, we are all happy to receive your calls at any time to help find the best way to support your needs.

Give Help Voluntary groups should inform Winchester City Council direct about who they are and what they feel able to do to help. This will enable HCC being able to contact the most suitable group to give help.

If you aren’t part of a group but would like to be or you’d be willing to help set one up, please either call or email us so we can talk you through the best way to do this or contact Winchester Mutual Aid at [email protected]

We know things are strange and difficult right now, but please keep following the Government’s guidelines, stay home and take good care of yourselves. Both HCC and WCC have the current advice on their websites.

Best wishes

Vivian Roger Jonathan Winchester District Councillors for Whiteley and Shedfield ward
