The House subcommittee with jurisdiction over EPA spending will have two new Republican members this year, party leaders announced this month. The news came as House GOP leadership announced the full rosters of Appropriations subcommittees for the 114th Congress.

Rep. (R-Calif.) will return as chair of the Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies Subcommittee. The panel is charged with producing a draft spending bill that includes EPA appropriations levels, and therefore plays a major role in determining spending levels for the Drinking Water and Clean Water State Revolving Fund (SRF) programs. This year the panel will also decide whether to include funding for the new Water Infrastructure Finance and (WIFIA) within the EPA spending bill.

In addition to Calvert, Republicans returning to the subcommittee are Reps. of Oklahoma, of , and Chris Stewart of Utah. New to the panel this year are of , and freshman Evan Jenkins of West Virginia. They effectively replace Reps. (R-Wash.) and (R-Calif.), who were reassigned to the Energy and Water Development Appropriations Subcommittee.

The complete GOP rosters for all Appropriations subcommittees are posted on the committee’s website (http://appropriations.house.gov/news/documentsingle.aspx? DocumentID=393934). House Democrats have yet to announce their own Appropriations subcommittee member lists.
