Implementation of the RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU and its Annex II pursuant to Directive 2015/863/EU and the German Electrical Materials Ordinance (ElektroStoff-VO) from 19.04.2013

Dear Sir or Madam, in the version of the Directive 2015/863/EU from 31.03.2015, Annex II was expanded to include four more substances, whose use is restricted in electrical and electronic equipment.

Our products for the automation sector are usually part of large stationary systems or large stationary industrial tools (see § 1 Par. 2 Nos. 4 and 5 German Electrical Materials Ordinance (ElektroStoff-VO) and Article 2 RoHS Directive). As a part of these systems, our products still do not fall under the Directive 2011/65/EU.

However, as a responsible and environmentally-aware company, we guarantee that our products are designed and produced to be RoHS-conform pursuant to Directive 2011/65/EU; in particular, we abide by the material prohibitions and limits of § 3 Par. 1 German Electrical Materials Ordinance (ElektroStoff-VO) and Annex II of the RoHS Directive. Friedrich Lütze GmbH, of course abides by all other national and international laws, directives, standards and regulations, and keeps close track of any amendments to these guidelines.

We continuously monitor and document fulfillment of the requirements, e.g. pursuant to DIN EN 50581, and verify this, in particular by means of our declaration of conformity pursuant to § 11 German Electrical Materials Ordinance (ElektroStoff-VO). Our suppliers are included in the process, e.g. by means of supplier declarations as technical documentation pursuant to DIN EN 50581 and by means of their obligation to provide information and verification as defined by our purchasing conditions.
