Uphams Corner Station supports MBTA Commuter Rail Services. The Contractor shall ensure that each employee has MBTA Commuter Rail Roadway Worker Protection training. B. This Section specifies the provisioning of Security Upgrades at the specific locations shown on the Contract Drawings. The security system shall include real time video, access control, and call box systems that work in conjunction with the existing VidSys system and existing MBTA CCTV System. Refer to the Contract Drawings, and these Specifications, for the details of the Work. C. The video system data shall be stored in a new central storage bank at the primary MBTA storage location for 30 days at 8FPS. The storage/server appliances shall be 48TB Pivot3 vSTAC Watch units configured with Windows Server 2008. The Contractor shall provide Pivot3 vSTAC Watch units to accommodate all cameras on the project with sufficient storage and processing according to the video management system (VMS) manufacturer’s best practices. The Contractor shall include with their bid the storage and processing calculations, and indicate the total number of vSTAC Watch units required; the Contractor shall provide a line item with price for the supply and installation of the vSTAC Watch units needed. The Contractor shall assume 2Mbps stream rates in their calculations. The live and recorded streams from all cameras shall be connected to the VidSys System via the VMS system over the Security Wide Area Network (SWAN) for viewing and display. The MBTA shall have the option to not implement this item and retain the line item amount. D. This Contract requires the Contractor to coordinate with the MBTA’s Security Maintenance Contractor (SMC) and the MBTA for work associated with integrating the alarms and video streams with the existing VidSys head end video system. The Contractor is responsible for programming and configuring all video and security equipment; and coordinating with MBTA Information Technology (IT) for configuration of all switches to place the devices on the network. The Contractor shall integrate all video cameras into the network video recorder (NVR) and VidSys. This integration requires the addition of all new devices to the VidSys maps, and the addition of maps based on existing MBTA station AutoCAD plans for those locations that do not currently exist in the mapping system. The Contractor is responsible for all licenses associated with video hardware and systems integration. For testing, the Contractor shall provide field personnel to trigger alarms for camera call up, the Contractor shall provide this personnel for all testing activities and any required retesting. E. This Contract requires the installation of various new CCTV power over Ethernet (PoE) IP Cameras. Live streams from the CCTV Cameras shall be streamed at 15 FPS, 720p for live viewing; and recording streams shall be streamed at 8 FPS, 720p. F. The Contractor is responsible for all materials and work listed in this section, except when specifically noted as done by others. G. The Authority is committed to maximizing safety in all aspects of its operations. To assist in this endeavor, the Safety & Security Certification Plan (SSCP) has been established to FAIRMOUNT LINE SECURITY SUMMARY OF WORK UPGRADES 2014 01010 - 1 provide a management structure, and approach for integrating safety & security certification activities into the major capital development process. The MBTA is in the process of updating this System Safety Certification Program (SSCP), which as an element of the FTA requirements. The Authority is required to develop and implement an SSCP for all rail transit capital projects, including rehabilitation work. The SSCP will be conducted by the MBTA as a self-certifying agency and the program will be administered by the MBTA Safety Department, in consultation with the Authority’s Safety & Security Management Committee (SSMC). The Contractor shall be required to participate in the certification testing process with MBTA representatives. H. The approximate work hours on this project shall be as follows: 1. Commuter Rail platform work that may foul the right-of-way will be allowed from 11:00 AM to 5:00 AM, with the proper MBTA Commuter Rail Contractor flagging. 2. Platform work that will not foul the right-of-way will be allowed from 9 PM to 5 AM, with the proper flagging. 3. Non-platform work in the public areas will be allowed from 9 AM to 3 PM and 8 PM to 5 AM. 4. Work within the Commuter Rail Communication Bungalow shall be coordinated with the MBTA Commuter Rail Contractor’s Communication Department a minimum of forty- eight (48) hours in advance. 5. Work in non-public areas will be allowed at all times, provided a representative of the MBTA department, or other designated person, is available to oversee work in the non- public area, if necessary; and if the work does not affect the public areas, train service, bus service, operations, or cause a safety issue. 6. The work hours may change depending on a number of factors including holidays, special event in the area, weather, availability of MBTA personnel, operational needs, safety factors, and other work progressing in the area. 1.2 WORK LOCATION A. Uphams Corner Station 1. 691 Dudley St. Dorchester, MA 02125-2204 1.3 SCOPE OF WORK 1. Furnish and install new SES Cabinets at locations as shown on the Contract Drawings and as described herein. Connect power, and connect network to new SES Cabinets. 2. Furnish and install new IP CCTV Cameras as shown on the Contract Drawings. All new IP CCTV Cameras shall be recorded at 8FPS 720p for 30 days on the central storage bank. Provide all necessary licensing. 3. Furnish and install a facilities Environmental Monitoring Appliance in t h e Communications Bungalow described herein. Connect power, and connect network to the Environmental Monitoring Appliance. 4. Furnish and install all power feeds from appropriate MBTA power sources without impacting other MBTA systems. Include, at a minimum, all cable, conduit, circuit breakers, fuses, panels, switches, and ancillary equipment. The Contractor shall be responsible for upgrading existing systems and equipment if necessary to meet code. The Contractor shall also update circuit breaker panel legends. FAIRMOUNT LINE SECURITY SUMMARY OF WORK UPGRADES 2014 01010 - 2 5. Install Fixed IP CCTV cameras as indicated on the Contract Drawings. Install Category 6 cable to each camera from the SES cabinet, and terminate in the new copper patch panel at each Category 6 device termination location, and patch to the Security Wide Area Network switch. 6. All cameras shall be titled in the software with a unique number and short description of location/viewed area. 7. Furnish and install four (4) new analog Emergency Call Boxes. Two (2) new Emergency Call Boxes shall be installed to replace the two (2) existing Emergency Call Boxes (one located on each platform). Install new analog Emergency Call Boxes utilizing existing VPP back boxes. The other two (2) Emergency Call Boxes shall be installed in stanchions on the platforms as shown on the Contract Drawings. Emergency Call Boxes shall be configured to utilize a relay output to signal Vidsys when the emergency button is pressed. 8. The Contractor via the MBTA shall order a new Centrex circuit for Uphams Corner Station. This Centrex circuit shall be utilized for the two new Emergency Call Box locations described above. The Contract shall be responsible for installation and monthly recurring charges for the Centrex circuit until the Uphams Corner project is complete and fully accepted by the MBTA. 9. Install outside plant Category 6 cable with water blocking to devices, and utilize Ethernet extenders where total cable length exceeds 328 feet (100 meters). 10. Install new communications trunk conduits and spur conduits as necessary to attach video cameras, and other end devices. The Contractor shall follow all requirements of TIA standards, NEC code, and NFPA 130 for installation of networking and control cabling including, but not limited to, fill ratios. 11. All CCTV cameras shall be configured in VidSys, and shall be added to the existing and new VidSys maps for the station.

The proposal also calls for the relocation of the building’s lobby. 11 Bromfield Street Development (1 Bromfield St.): • Proposal calls for a 23-floor, 441,000 sf mixed-use office tower, with 59,00 sf of retail space on the first three floors (one of them below-grade). The proposal is currently in its scoping review phase with the BPDA. Completed Projects: 2020: 399 Washington Street Renovation: • A complete renovation and modernization of the 5-story, 75,000 sf building. Internal demolition began in summer 2017 and finished in 2018. The renovation completed in early 2020.

    India Street Historic District Designation Report General Description of the District The India Street neighborhood as we know it today encompasses a 19-block area, extending west to east from Franklin Arterial to Washington Avenue/Mountfort Street and north to south from Congress Street to Commercial Street. Within this larger neighborhood boundary, the proposed India Street Historic District encompasses portions of 10 blocks and is focused on the major corridors (Congress, India and Middle) that define the historic core of the neighborhood and around which many of the neighborhood’s most significant institutional, commercial, religious and residential structures are concentrated. Within or just outside the district boundaries are located five previously-designated landmark structures or sites. These include the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, St. Paul’s Church and Parish Hall, North School, the Abyssinian Meeting House and Eastern Cemetery. Four additional landmarks are proposed for designation in conjunction with the district designation. These include the former Etz Chaim Synagogue (now Maine Jewish Heritage Museum), the former India Street Fire Station, St. Peter’s Catholic Church, the former Shaarey Tphiloh Synagogue, and See full-sized map of district attached to this report. the Abraham S.
