Green Globe was a very active LCRP 2017‐2020 active member in 2018

Green Globe participated in the Child Protection, Livelihood, Social Stability, Education, Water & Energy, & Basic Assistance Working Groups.

Green Globe launched for the second time the Black List of Environment in . Ongoing project:

Strategies in Solid Waste Management and Sorting, Recycling & composting in District

Funded by UNDP‐GEF – Municipalities of – Green Globe Starting date: Dec 2014 – End of Project: Dec 2019 Main achievements of the Project: 1‐ Helping the Union of Municipalities of Batroun to get funded by EU & Omsar 2‐ Advocating with the Municipality of for the construction of a recycling Center 3‐ Helping the development of the recycling center in Ras Nhash villages 4‐ Helping the Municipality of Shabtine to create a recycling center with the villages of its entourage 5‐ Starting the sorting in most of the villages of the district between the recyclables and the non recyclables 6‐ Adding the culture of composting to the young generation in the gardens in the rural areas 7‐ Training of 5.000 people from the district, including all the teachers and students in all the private and public schools, and many of people from different municipalities And also I ‐ Green Globe Generation ‐ Program for the Young ‐ Training of 3.000 young people all over Lebanon in Solid Waste, in Water & water preservation.& in environment issues, especially in Saida in South Lebanon, in Dibbieh in Mount Lebanon… ‐ Green Globe was invited to many universities and schools such as NDU to explain the Solid Waste crisis and to suggest solutions. ‐ Lectures in universities, schools, NGOs, Scouts… to raise awareness on environmental issues.

II ‐ National Role ‐ Green Globe was a main partner of the Ministry of Environment in the Metn crisis cell, and on a national level. And a mediator between the Minister and the Lebanese Civil Society. ‐ Green Globe proposed a complete vision to Prime Minister Tamam Salam for the horizons of Lebanon. ‐ Green Globe was invited by the after the Coop 21 international conference to propose a national solution for the Solid Waste crisis in Lebanon ‐ Green Globe participated in many conferences and workshops organized by UNHCR, UNICEF with the different working groups. ‐ Green Globe is a main consultant for all national TV in Solid Waste & Water and Energy issues and appeared on LBCI, MTV, Future, NBN, Tele Lumiere and also Al‐Arabiya… and in most of the Lebanese national newspapers.

III‐ Partnership with Municipalities: ‐ Green Globe helped the Municipality of Jdeideh‐Boushrieh‐Sed, who is the third biggest municipality in Lebanon in the crisis of Solid Waste to find solutions.Green Globe is ‐ Coordination with many municipalities in , in the Beqaa and in North and in South Lebanon .
