Vme and BRB SEAL ALLIANCE at MIPCOM
Vme AND BRB SEAL ALLIANCE AT MIPCOM • Various productions from the Spanish company will be aired on the American channel as a first step in a long-term accord Madrid, October 15, 2014. Vme Media and BRB Internacional have just sealed at MIPCOM an accord for U.S. Hispanic audiences in the United States. The television channel, the first that broadcasts exclusively in Spanish throughout America, will air various BRB productions, including international hits, Bernard (156 x 3’), Mica (26 x 15’), Zoobabu (104 x 2’) and Kambu (52 x 7’). This is the first step in a long-term agreement between the two entertainment-sector companies that will be progressively widened in the future. In this first phase of the accord, Vme and BRB Internacional have agreed on various animation series for broadcast in the U.S. Hispanic markets in the United States – and some feature-length films, too, such as My Friend Bernard – aimed at pre-school and family audiences. The agreement includes the disemination of these productions both on Vme’s television network that reaches 70M U.S. housholds and via its video-on- demand services. Emilie Pasquet, Sales Chief at BRB Internacional, said: “We are thrilled with becoming a partner of Vme, a channel that really emphasizes the quality of its productions for the pre-school target audience in a very important market for us in the new digital panorama, both for kids and their parents.” For more information: Stand R7-H14 (MIPCOM) ABOUT VME TELEVISION: Vme TV (pronounced veh-meh), is the first national Spanish-language television network in association with public television stations. -

An Application of Polysystem Theories of Translation. Isabel Palomo Merino Directed by: Dr. Javier Ortiz García, Universidad Autónoma de Madrid Madrid, 2017 Detective fiction has become one of the most popular genres in our present times; but why and how did detective fiction become so popular in Spain? This dissertation studies the development of the genre of detective fiction in Spain, written both by Spanish writers and as translations from American authors, framed within the historical period that extends from the Franco Regime up to our present days. It was during the dictatorship that translations of foreign detective fiction started to reach the country and a sense of collective imagination on the topic began to be created, influenced also by the movie adaptations that reached Spain, by the numerous pseudotranslations, and by journals like El Caso. The foreign model of detective fiction was adopted by national writers who re- created it within a new context: classic detective fiction influenced the work of Francisco García Pavón, and hardboiled detective fiction –analyzed through the works of James M. -

How Much Do Children Interpret Television and Animated Film Contents?*
International Journal of Progressive Education, Volume 17 Number 1, 2021 © 2021 INASED How Much Do Children Interpret Television and Animated Film Contents?* Mustafa Türkmen i Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Abstract Animated films have an undeniable place in children's entertainment culture. The worldwide box office revenues indicate that these films reached many children in cinemas and were viewed on televisions by almost all children. The extent to which children can make sense of such content is still a question mark in minds. This study aims to demonstrate how children can interpret the animated film and the content of television they watch in general. The research was carried out by a mixed-method using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The study group consisted of 210 children between the ages of 4-10. An average of 30 children was included in each age group. In this way, it is aimed to examine the change in the level of interpretation of the animated film and television content by children in each age group as age increases. In the research, a film (Toy Story 3) was selected and the realism of the characters, values and events in its content was examined through content analysis. Besides, a structured interview form consisting of values and reality section regarding the content viewed on TV has been developed. The children were allowed to watch the animated film and they were interviewed about the viewed content and relevant data was collected. As a result of the research, it was found that children in 4 and 5 age groups differed significantly from the children in 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 age groups in good-bad distinction, meaning and reality in the animated film. -
Compromiso = Presupuesto
