Errante/Cho Trio opens Wilton Library’s concert series Nov. 1

Wilton, CT – The dulcet sounds of violin, and piano will be heard emanating from the Brubeck Room when Wilton Library has its opening concert of the ’s Own series with the Errante/Cho Trio on Sunday, Nov. 1, from 4 to 5 p.m. No strangers to the Brubeck stage, Richard Errante on violin, Lois Errante on cello, and Kyong Hee Cho on piano return to delight the audience with this concert. Their program includes selections from and Franz Schubert. Performing together since 2001, the Errante/Cho Trio is well known to Connecticut audiences for its committed music-making and creative programming. Born into a family of musicians, Richard Errante received his first violin lessons from his father. He gave his first public performance at the age of eight and at fourteen was accepted at the of Music. As a scholarship student at the Hartt School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, he completed his violin studies with Ariana Bronne and the internationally renowned Raphael Bronstein. In addition to solo recitals and concerto appearances, Mr. Errante performs in concerts with his cellist wife. Lois Errante graduated with honors from Northwestern University and the University of Southern California and continued her studies with Aldo Parisot, Channing Robbins, and Irene Sharp. She appeared as soloist at the Mozarteum is Salzburg, Austria, and as chamber musician at the Aspen Music Festival. Ms. Errante has served on the faculties of Vassar College and the State University of New York and has appeared on the Silvermine Guild Chamber Music Series and Connecticut Public Television’s CT Composers series. Kyong Hee Cho began piano studies at the age of five and made her first public performance with the Seoul Symphony Orchestra at age eleven. After winning major nationwide piano competitions in Korea, she graduated from the Manhattan School of Music with a B.M. and M.M. in piano performance. Ms. Cho returned to Korea in 1990 to perform a solo recital at

(More) Wilton Library/2 the Seoul Art Center. In recent years she has used her talents to perform numerous charity concerts, both locally and in New York and California. Currently she teaches piano at her studio in Wilton. The Connecticut’s Own concerts are free of charge. Registration is strongly recommended for this popular series.
