The 2014 OJOA Rattlesnake Revival Tour, organised primarily by Steve Sherriff, was held on Saturday September 27th, 2014 in perfect weather. We started with a friendly meet/greet/chat, walking around checking out other beautiful cars in our chosen section of the parking lot at Ned Devine’s! Alehouse and Pub, Milton. Jaguars were not the only marque in attendence as the Morgan Club was invited and fielded several great cars. The tour was not a timed event and included the historic Rattlesnake Point Hill Climb on the Niagara Escarpment. 59 Participants were tasked with pleasurably searching, en route, for answers to clues given in punctiliously written documentation. There were two stops along the way. The first, where participants parked, walked to a dart board attached to a tree and threw darts for points. These points counted for the overall point score for each team. The second stop, at a park, was meant as a checkpoint and to answer a question about the brand of radios found in early E-types. Delightful fun! On returning to Ned Devine's, we all went inside for timely food and drinks. Our scores were tabulated and the winners werePhoto announced. 14 The Ontario JAGUAR - September/October, 2014 World Premiere of Jaguar XE at ’s Earls Court September 8th, 2014

Jaguars’ latest creation is known as the Jaguar XE, the new “baby Jag”. This new Jaguar was officially launched at a star-studded event in Earls Court, London. The Jag- uar XE, a BMW 3 series/Cadillac ATS/Audi A4/ Mercedes C-Class fighter, will go on sale in North America in 2016. Jaguar indicates: “Jaguar is highly experienced in the use of aluminium construction. That expertise in working with such lightweight mate- rial has culminated in the revolutionary body structure of the new XE. It is the first model designed around our all-new modular architecture and is the only car in its class to use an aluminium-inten- sive monocoque body. The long wheelbase and low sporty seating position of the XE enable perfect proportions and a sleek, coupe-like pro- file. The unique large front air intakes, chrome side vents, discreet rear spoiler and op- tional 20-inch forged alloy wheels reinforce the car’s performance potential”. Jaguar invested about $2.5bn in a new factory to build the mostly aluminium intensive bodyshell and assemble the car. Jaguar has indicated its intention to field a high performance version of the -
