NEWEST CLUES TO BE REVEALED IN THE DISAPPEARANCE OF NATALEE HOLLOWAY DURING THE 7th ANNUAL LAKES HEALTH CONFERENCE IN JUNE

“Medical Mystery Tour” has been selected as the theme for the 7th Annual Lakes Health Conference which will be held June 9-10 at Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center at Lake Okoboji. “This year’s conference will be all about ‘mysteries’ while focusing on health issues,” said Rosie Coleman, one of the organizers of the event. “We’ll take a look at topics such as infection control as well as an in depth look and discussion of the psychological characteristics, of hoarding and much more.” The key note speaker, Beth Holloway, will talk about the mystery surrounding the disappearance of her daughter, Natalee on a high school trip. After Natalee’s disappearance during a trip to the Bahamas, Beth Holloway founded the International Safe Travels Foundation. She has written a book about the mystery that revolves around her daughter’s disappearance. A television movie was also made which ran on the Lifetime channel in 2009. The last person seen with Natalee was Joran Van der Sloot, a Dutch college student. While Natalee has never been found, in May of 2010, Van der Sloot was arrested for the murder of Stephany Flores, a Peruvian woman he met. A month later, he was indicted on charges of extortion and wire fraud as a result of an investigation based on the alleged effort to extort money from Beth Holloway in exchange for information that would lead to the recovery of Natalee’s body. Both Iowa Lakes and Northwest Iowa community colleges are co-hosting the event.
