The proposed works are linked to the extension of Midland Metro Line One to Birmingham City Centre. 2.2 The extension of the Line from Birmingham Snow Hill to Five Ways and Edgbaston was approved under a Transport and Works Act (TWA) Order (The Midland Metro (Birmingham City Centre) Extension Order 2005) and deemed Planning Permission granted under the reference TWA/03/APP/04.
