That title does not quite capture the problem; the problem is not just that we have institutional barriers to gender equity; the problem is that the current American Bar Association (ABA) standards actively promote inequality, and that neither law faculty nor the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) seem to care very much about making things better. The inequality on law faculties divides faculty members, particularly dividing women faculty from other women faculty.
