Ben Bruni’s performance of The Last Post and Reveille was extremely poignant and certainly stirred the emotions of both players and spectators. Jess Allison then concluded the ceremony with her beautiful singing of Advance Australia Fair. At the conclusion of the A Grade football a brief presentation ceremony was held to acknowledge and honour the memory and war service of Mr Herb Ashby OAM DCM (football) and Sister Mary Catherine Mules (netball). Mrs Helen Egan, presented the 2015 Sister Mary Catherine Mules Medal for netball to Ash Heald of Port MacDonnell, which was accepted on her behalf by Toni Gilmore due to Ash heading to Melbourne directly after the A Grade netball game, and Keith Ashby, son of Mr Herb Ashby presented Scott Enderl from Port MacDonnell with the 2015 Herb Ashby ANZAC Day Medal who was adjudged as the player who best exemplified theA NZAC spirit.
