CATHOLIC SCHOOLS NIGHT AT YANKEE STADIUM

On May 25, 1,500 Catholic school students flocked to Yankee Stadium to watch the Yankees play the Toronto Blue Jays. For most of the students in attendance, the spring night marked their first-ever trip to a major league baseball game. Boys and girls sporting plaid uniforms joined together to cheer on Cardinal Dolan as his first pitch went right down the middle.

Although the Yankees suffered defeat, proceeds from select ticket sales raised $50,000 to be disbursed among the nine Catholic school regions of the Archdiocese of New York. Funds will be directed towards scholarship support, technology implementation, special education and other special programs.
