Rock Raymond Rumble We are very excited to announce that on Thursday evening, March 19th, 2020 from 6:45-8:45pm, Downingtown Middle School will host a fundraising extravaganza that has been dubbed, "The Rock Raymond Rumble." This event will be a hybrid "Rock and Wrestling" bonanza featuring DMS's own legendary rock and roll band, "Middle School Glory" (Mr. Heggie, Mr. Basilio, Dr. Hufford) along with professional wrestling from WXW C4!

Dr. Indeglio, accompanied by his manager, Mr. Mulvey, will return from retirement yet again to face his longtime arch-nemesis, "Supreme" Lee Great, managed by a familiar face from DASD. In addition, the age-old question of "Who Rules History?" will be answered when Mr. D'Ercole battles Mr. Bacchus in an epic contest!

This event will benefit "A Gift of Life" (https://www.donors1.org/) which is the nation's leading organ procurement organization coordinating more organ and tissue donors than anywhere else in the United States. Our very own Academic Coach, Mrs. Brown, received a heart transplant from A Gift of Life, and she strives to increase awareness and support for this amazing organization. The Rumble at Rock Raymond will also benefit recent transplant recipient, Samu Anoa'i, who has thrilled millions as a WWE Superstar and helped many more in his community as a trainer and path away from the streets, including Dr. Indeglio.

Read to B

Gently Used Books, Costumes & Toys Drive!

A local Chester County student run organization is looking for gently used books, costumes, and toys in order to provide local kids in need a fun and imaginative surprise. The organization, Read to B, exists to promote the love of reading and creativity in kids. Started by three Chester county siblings and their love of books and acting them out, over 600 packages have been donated over the past seven years to area children.

They will match up donations such as a Harry Potter book and a used Harry Potter robe and bundle them together. A donated book about cars could be packaged with a donation of used toy cars. This will allow a child to receive a gift that can inspire their love of reading and creating.

th Donations can be brought in immediately, during parent conferences, and through December 12 . There is a collection box in the main office.
