In Remembrance of

BARBARA WRIGHT

The 2020-21 Massachusetts Hockey Annual Guide is dedicated to the memory of Barbara Wright. Barbara was one of the reasons that youth hockey flourished in western Massachusetts over the last 30+ years. As a truly dedicated volunteer, Barbara was involved at all levels of the sport. Locally, state-wide and nationally, all who knew Barbara appreciated her effort and dedication to making the game enjoyable for the kids. Barbara was inducted to the Massachusetts Hockey Hall of Fame in 2011, which typically symbolizes the end of an impressive career however not for Barbara…she continued to serve in her roles for several years after her induction. Locally, Massachusetts Hockey board members enjoyed visiting with Barbara and Allen at the monthly meetings and in the hospitality suite at the Annual Meeting each year. Nationally, it was always an impressive sight to see the various USA Hockey board members and staff spend time with her in the lobby during Annual Congress each year. The dedication and commitment that Barbara had as a volunteer will be missed and is not easily replaced. Massachusetts Hockey celebrates Barbara and dedicates this Annual Guide to her memory. “District 6…All Quiet!”
