Important information concerning COVID-19 (PCR) test for travelers to Japan
Currently, regardless of nationality, all travelers who enter Japan (including Japanese nationals) are requested to submit a certificate of negative test result of COVID-19 test conducted within 72 hours prior to departing from the country/region where travelers stay. If you fail, you may not be allowed to enter Japan.
The travelers are required to have a Certificate of negative result in the designated format of the Japanese government “Certificate of Testing for COVID-19” (＊), when arriving at the airport in Japan as well as at the transit airport.
For your reference, below is a list of testing facilities in Israel that provides the “Certificate of Testing for COVID-19” with doctor’s signature and the facility’s stamp. You should use the original COVID-19 negative certificate (in English) issued by the facility when you depart from Ben-Gurion airport. However in order to enter Japan, you are required to have the result in the designated format of the Japanese government “Certificate of Testing for COVID-19” only (＊).
(＊)Except when the travelers undergo a COVID-19 test at the Ichilov Hospital. In such case, they will be required to show the original COVID-19 negative certificate (in English) issued by the Ichilov Hospital and the supporting document issued by the Embassy of Japan, when arriving at the airport in Japan as well as at the transit airport. See 6 below.
Upon your request, the facilities listed in 1-5 below should agree to provide the doctor’s signature and facility stamp in the designated Japanese government format. Ichilov Hospital（Tel-Aviv） Within the same day after you get tested at the Ichilov Hospital, you are requested to come to the Embassy (The Museum Tower, 4 Berkovitch St., Tel-Aviv) during the visiting hours below, in order to receive our supporting document which should be attached to the Ichilov Hospital’s COVID-19 negative certificate.
