We recommend requesting a sample. 7 Biotrē® Film PBi, the manufacturer spent over two years developing Biotrē Film, a biodegradable and heat sealable barrier material. PBi conducted extensive composting and cupping tests with industry Ieaders to verify that Biotrē, in fact, biodegrades while pro- tecting products in the same way that a standard plastic/foil Iaminate material does.
How does it work?
A standard plastic/foil Iaminate is made from 100% non-renewable resources and is not considered biodegradable. Biotrē Film is made from 60% (by weight) renewable wood pulp and is biodegradable. Based on previous tests, biodegradation will take on average several months in a backyard composter. The remaining 40% (by weight) of Biotrē Film is plastic with an additive that is designed to make it breakdown over five to ten years. This portion of the material can be removed easily from a composter and disposed. lts accelerated degradation time al- lows it to have a significantly reduced impact on the waste stream. With the help of some of our coffee roaster friends, we have verified that Biotrē effectively preserves and protects sensitive products like coffee. ln this way, we are able to meet our allied goals of bringing value to the table, providing a more sustain- able package, and making the world a better place.

Our aim is to deliver you high quality packaging with your custom print exactly according to your instructions.
Minimums, Additional Costs and Requirements:
– Design: All custom printed projects start with a design, and rates for designers can vary greatly. Design services are an additional cost beyond the cost of the package.
We can work with your designer and we offer full design services. For our design service our project coordinators collaborate with a design studio. We can help update your ready made art, clean up existing art files, or create brand new art for you.
– Requirements: We will guide you (or your designer) through our Art Requirements with step-by-step instructions that specify art submission criteria to a size specific template/die line for the design.
– Cylinders/plates: Custom printing has set up charges for the artwork based on color count, and complexity of the design. Each color requires a cylinder or plate and design changes cost money. We offer competitive rates for cylinder charges and we help with production design.
– Minimums: Custom printing quantities vary based on the printing substrate being used and total square inches. For example, printed tin cans typically start at 5,000 pieces, whereas a 12- 16 oz coffee bag requires 20,000 pieces. Contact our Sales/Service Group for minimums on the size/style of your package.

Tin-Tie Application You can take a step out of your in-house production, save time and money, and get a consistent tin-tie placement. By letting us apply your tin-ties, you can select where you would like it placed and the bags will arrive to you, ready to be labeled and filled. Give us a call to find out more about this service. Special Valve Placement Need to put a valve in a different spot on a stock bag? Pre-order your stock bags without a valve and specify where you would like the valve on the bag. We can do special valve placements with minimum quantity requirements, giving you more flexibility. One case minimum-additional costs apply.
Label Application Services Decrease in-house production time and get a consistently applied label. Labels are a great way to call attention to your product and enhance the overall appearance of your package. Our labeling service is simple, with low minimum order quantities.
