The film plot begins with police arriving at Sivanandi (Sathyaraj) house questioning him about the murder of his daughter Lathapandi (Sri Divia) because she escaped with a guy she loved. Bozepandi (Sivakarticeyan) and Cody (Soori) are two friends who are the leaders of a group called Varuthapadadha Walibar Sangam. One day Bosepandi falls in love with Kalyani (Binda Madhavi), who is a teacher at the school. Bosepandi writes a love letter for her but wants someone to go give her so that's when he finds Lathapandi. Lathapandi gives a letter to his teacher and tricks Bosepandi to believe many things. Sivanandi fixes the marriage for Lathapandi, but she is not ready to get married because she is very young and she wants to learn further. Despite her attempts, nothing stops her marriage. Her marriage is posted on a billboard, which Bocepandi and Cody have decided to stop because they want their group to billboard there. They go to the police station and threaten the police to go to the commissioner. Police talk to Sivanandi and force him to stop the marriage. One day, Latapandi informs Bosepandi that Kalyani is getting married. He decides to move on in life, so he organizes for the Dindigul program to happen in his area. He sees Latapandi in a sari and immediately falls in love with her. That same night, police told Sivanani that the man who stopped Latapandi's marriage was Bocepandi. The next day he tells her about his love for her, but she ignores him and says no. Bocepandi leaves listening to a sad song when The gang comes and beats him. Later, he learns that he was hit by the Sivanandi gang. So Bosepandi and Cody decided to steal what Sivanandi considers his soul, and that's his gun. Bozepaldi and Cody steal a gun, run away and cause a lot of trouble. Bosepandi then tells Lathapandi that he will return the gun if it comes to his friends marriage, and so he returns the gun, no one knows. Lathapandi in turn goes into this marriage and takes many photos with Bosepandi. Her mother warns her that this is not right and she must stop it. Sivanani's cow hits the well as it leaves the city, so Bozepandi helps pull it out. That night he stays with Latapandi in her house and they see Sivanandi sleepwalking. They then wake up in the morning and see Sivandi walking again. This time he woke up, but Bozepaldi thinks he is sleepwalking again, and so he tells Sivanandi about liking his daughter. As soon as he finds out he's actually awake, he's running out of this house. Sivanandi then makes Lathapandi promise that she will marry only the guy who Sivanandi tells her to marry, and so she promises her father. They will mend the marriage for Latapandi, but the night before her marriage, she decides to run away with Bozepaldi. Running away at night, they see Siwanandi, and he tells them to run away and gives them some money so they never come back. Sivanani wants Boizepandi and Latapandi to run away because he doesn't want Latapandi to marry the guy he chose for her, and he can't stop her marrying him because he has too much respect in his village. He watches them get married and then goes home with blood on his shirt (blood goat he killed) and lies to everyone that he killed his daughter because of his reputation.
