CORRA Update

Official Plan Policies for Implementing a Development Permit System (DPS)

***Make Your Views Known*** July 8, 2014

To Members, Resident and Ratepayer Executives:

YOUR ACTION IS REQUIRED:

Agenda item PG34.4 Official Plan Policies for Implementing a Development Permit System (DPS) will be considered at Council Meeting No. 54 on July 8, 2014.

CORRA is recommending the proposed DPS OP Policies be deferred for fundamental reconsideration until the last quarter of 2015 or until such time that a full comprehensive analysis and study, including consultations with Ward Councillors, resident/community groups and other stakeholders, has been completed, whichever is later.

Please consider CORRA’s attached written submission for your reference. and we encourage all resident / ratepayer groups to:

1. Write to City Council (via clerk@.ca or agenda submissions link) with your views, and ask Council to support a motion that would have the OP DPS policies sent back for fundamental reconsideration or support CORRA’s position. Placing your concerns in writing before Council makes a decision will retain your interest in and rights to the DPS issue.

2. Copy your Councillor with your submission. The link to City Councillors is provided here.

3. Copy CORRA at [email protected].

Again, thank you to all for your communications and continued support.
