Voltage Schedules for TVA

Voltage Schedules for TVA Voltage Schedules for TVA TVA’s voltage schedule was developed with optimal power flow to optimize TVA’s Bulk Electric System (BES) such that the minimum amount of reactive power was generated, while keeping the maximum generator reactive reserves for response post-contingency. The voltage schedules of the plants, shunt reactive sources and BES stations with intertie transformers are optimized. TVAs schedule is a “flat profile schedule” without reference to time of day, net system loading, or season. Voltage Schedule Bands (approximately 2% regulation) • 500 kV Schedule ±10 kV • 345 kV Schedule ±6 kV • 230 kV Schedule ±5kV • 161 kV Schedule ±3kV • 115 kV Schedule ±3kV • 69 kV Schedule ±3kV The full TVA voltage schedule follows in tabular format.
