Basile has four career blocked kicks, which is tied for third all-time in league annals. He is one away from moving into a tie for second. Former PC defensive standout and current Arizona Cardinal JUSTIN BETHEL is the Big South career leader with nine blocked kicks.

BLOCK PARTY Monmouth has blocked six kicks this season, the most in the Big South since Coastal Carolina had six in 2011. The Hawks blocked a Big South single-game record four kicks at Delaware State in Week 2, with MIKE BASILE recording two of the deflections. The Hawks blocked two punts, one field goal and one PAT attempt to break the old league record of three set by VMI in 2004 and matched by Gardner- Webb in 2009.
