Toronto, ON November 10, 2006 – Moviegoers will want to tap their way to select Cineplex Entertainment theatres when Happy Feet opens on Friday November 17, 2006 (see list below). Digitally re-mastered into the unparalleled image and sound quality of The IMAX Experience® with proprietary IMAX DMR® (digital re-mastering) technology, Happy Feet: The IMAX Experience will debut concurrently with the nationwide 35mm release from Warner Bros. Pictures.

This highly-anticipated comedy adventure is the 12th IMAX DMR film release from Warner Bros. Pictures. Moviegoers will become fully immersed in the IMAX presentation with the music of Prince, The Beach Boys and other top artists filling the theatre through state-of-the-art digital surround sound. The IMAX Experience, featuring the large 15/70 film frame, combined with IMAX projection technology and remarkable sound system, provides a unique and extraordinary moviegoing experience.

“We've gone to extreme lengths to make this movie as spectacular as possible and be true to the majestic landscapes of Antarctica and the penguins which inhabit them,” says director George Miller “There is no better place to experience the extraordinary world we have recreated than on the massive IMAX screen with its awesome picture and sound quality. We aim to immerse the audience totally.”

Happy Feet is set in the great nation of Emperor Penguins. Deep in Antarctica, you’re nobody unless you can sing—which is unfortunate for Mumble (ELIJAH WOOD), who is the worst singer in the world. He is born dancing to his own tune…tap dancing. Mumble’s mom, Norma Jean (), thinks this little habit is cute, but his dad, Memphis (), says it “just ain’t penguin.” Besides, they both know that, without a Heartsong, Mumble may never find true love. Leaving home, Mumble meets the Adelie Amigos, led by Ramon (). The Adelies invite Mumble to party with them in Adelie Land, where Mumble seeks the counsel of Lovelace the Guru (also voiced by ROBIN WILLIAMS), a crazy-feathered Rockhopper penguin who will answer any of life’s questions for the price of a pebble. Together with Lovelace and the Amigos, Mumble sets out across vast landscapes and, after some epic encounters, proves that by being true to yourself, you can make all the difference in the world.
