Minister’s Message

THE STATE Government is proud to acknowledge seniors’ contribution to ’s economic, cultural and social life. It is central to our ongoing commitment to deliver a better deal for seniors and it is vital that the state government continues to deliver programs to ensure seniors live full and productive lives. It’s a week to celebrate seniors’ achievements, their aspirations and their contributions. Whether they are running businesses, volunteering, mentoring, working, caring, or sharing their wealth of experience and wisdom, our seniors are inspirational role models for us all. This year’s Bendigo Bank Seniors Week Festival promises to be bigger and better than ever. I would like to invite Have a Go News readers to take advantage of the multitude of activities occurring throughout the state during Bendigo Bank Seniors Week Festival. Some of the highlights include Have a Go Day at Burswood Park and Grandparents Day at Zoo, a day of fun and entertainment for all generations. I urge all seniors to participate in Bendigo Bank Seniors Week Festival 2012. It’s a great time to learn, celebrate, participate and enjoy the many free family friendly activities across the state.
