Election Schedule All candidates will make short presentations to the 14th European Guide and Scout Conference on Saturday, 17 August 2013 (day 2). The elections will take place on Sunday, 18 August 2013, during the 21st European Scout Conference (day 3). The results of the election will be declared immediately afterwards. The new European Scout Committee will then gather in the evening of Sunday, 18 August 2013, for its first meeting, during which it will elect its chairperson and vice-chairperson. Voting The voting follows the provisions identified in the Constitution of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (in particular Art XI), the Constitution of the European Scout Region (in particular Art III al 3, Art IV al 2 lit d) and the Additional Rules of Procedure of the European Scout Region (in particular Art 6).

    ÅRSRAPPORT FOR SPEJDERNES NORDISKE SAMARBEJDSKOMITE (NSK) OG NSK STYREGRUPPE ÅRET 2016 I begyndelsen af 2016 overtog Danmark formandskabet i Spejdernes Nordiske Samar- bejdskomité (NSK) fra Island. Derfor varetages formandskabet for NSK samt styregrup- pen for samarbejdet af repræsentanter for den danske spejderbevægelse. Foråret 2016 bød på stor udskiftning i både styregruppe, formandskab og blandt de øvrige medlemmer af NSK. Den ene formand for NSK’s styregruppe blev udskiftet i maj. Formandsteamet for styre- gruppen består nu af Anne Lintrup og Daniel Berthelsen. Næsten samtidigt blev begge formænd for NSK udskiftet (ifm. den europæiske spejderkonference i juni 2016). De tid- ligere formænd havde valgt at søge nye frivillige opgaver i andre sammenhænge. De to nye formænd for NSK er Monica Lyby (international kommissionær for WAGGGS) og Kri- stian Kvist (international kommissionær for WOSM). Flere af NSK’s ordinære medlemmer (dvs. de internationale kommissionærer for de re- spektive nordiske lande) er ligeledes stoppet i løbet af året, og nye repræsentanter er trådt til. Det er en naturlig udvikling, da internationale kommissærer typisk udpeges af deres medlemsorganisationen med et tidsbegrænset mandat. Den løbende udskiftning har givet grobund for en løbende dialog om det nordiske spejderarbejde og samarbejdet i komitéen. Det har været en god og lærerig proces, og der har gennem året været en god og konstruktiv dialog, hvor alle de nordiske lande har været involveret. HJEMMESIDEN – www.speidereinorden.org I løbet af 2016 er der blevet lagt kræfter i at rydde op, opdatere og omstrukturere NSK’s hjemmeside. Vi har valgt at fortsætte med den supporter i Island, der har hjulpet Island med at opbygge hjemmesiden, og har oplevet et godt og konstruktivt samarbejde mellem supporteren og styregruppen om at få alle de ønskede ændringer implementeret.

    History of Irish Girl Guides Some Important Events in Irish Guiding 1911 First Guide Company started in Harold’s Cross, Dublin 1914 Brownies (initially called ‘Rosebuds’) were started 1914-1918 During these years Guides collected sphagnum moss and made it into dressings. They knitted for soldiers and also acted as hospital orderlies and helped in canteens. 1915 There were enough Guides to hold a display at the Metropolitan Hall, Dublin. Lord Baden-Powell attended a Rally in Merrion Square, Dublin. 1916 First ‘Camp’ was held in a cottage in Kilternan, Co. Dublin and a competition for a shield was held in Lord Iveagh’s grounds behind the National University, Earlsfort Terrace, Dublin. 1918 Rally with Guides, Scouts and Brownies. The Ross Cup was presented by Lady Ross. Originally it was presented to an individual Guide between the ages of 14 and 19 for needlework, child hygiene and meatless cookery. 1920 First Ranger Unit started. 1924 Rally in Lord Iveagh’s grounds – the salute being taken by Lady Powerscourt, then Deputy Chief Commissioner. 1925 Rally at the Metropolitan Hall, Dublin. 1926 An entertainment at the Theatre Royal, Dublin. 1927 One Leader and five Guides went to an International Camp for the first time, in Geneva. The first Sea Guides were registered in Clontarf, Dublin. 1928 Lord and Lady Baden-Powell were present at Rallies in Dublin and Cork. The first swimming gala was held at the Iveagh Baths, Dublin. 1929 Lady Powerscourt was appointed Chief Commissioner. As Ireland now had Dominion status the organisation was called ‘The Irish Free State Girl Guides’.

Introduction Asia-Pacific Regional (APR) Scout Youth Forums provide opportunities for young people in Scouting to express their views and make recommendations on issues of interest to them; and to develop the skills necessary to strengthen their capacity to take part in decision-making processes. APR Scout Youth Forums also provide an opportunity for the World Organization of the Scout Movement – at Regional, National and local levels – to listen to the views of young members on issues that concern them. APR Scout Youth Forums constitute one approach, among many, towards the implementation of the Policy on Involvement of Young Members in Decision-Making, adopted by the 33rd World Scout Conference in 1993. This document has been developed based upon the experiences of previous World Scout Youth Forums and APR Scout Youth Forums – in Singapore 1995, Hong Kong 1998, India 2002 and Brunei Darussalam 2004. This guideline also took into consideration the proposed Rules of Procedure for World Scout Youth Forums, drawn up by the participants of the 5th World Scout Youth Forum held in Kandersteg, Switzerland 1992. The Guidelines for the APR Scout Youth Forum have been approved and adopted by the APR Scout Committee in its meeting on 19 July 1993 in Bangkok, Thailand. Furthermore, this guideline has been revised based on the paper entitled, Youth Involvement in the Asia Pacific Regional Scout Committee including Sub-Committees and Work Streams, which was approved by the APR Scout Committee in June 2004.

    EL PAQUETE DE VOTACIÓN ASOCIACIÓN MUNDIAL DE GUÍAS Y SCOUTS INTRODUCCIÓN Como compartimos con ustedes en abril de 2020 (Circular 6a de la Conferencia Mundial), debido al aplazamiento de la Conferencia Mundial, dos asuntos de la Conferencia Mundial, que son urgentes, se llevarán a cabo mediante una resolución escrita: • En primer lugar, para asegurar que el Consejo Mundial tenga un mandato claro, se pedirá a las Organizaciones Miembros Titulares que aprueben un plan y presupuesto de un año para la AMGS para 2021. La aprobación de este plan y presupuesto 2021 proporcionará lo que se necesita a corto plazo, hasta la Conferencia Mundial en 2021, cuando se pedirá a las Organizaciones Miembros que aprueben la estrategia trienal completa y el presupuesto hasta el final de 2023. • En segundo lugar, para reconocer el arduo trabajo y los logros de nuestros nuevos Miembros Potenciales y Asociados, se pedirá a las Organizaciones Miembros Titulares que aprueben las propuestas de afiliación distribuidas con el Documento 10 de la Conferencia Mundial Ahora nos complace compartir con ustedes el paquete de votación que contiene toda la información que necesitan para participar en el proceso de resolución escrita.
