PRESS RELEASE

CELCOM AND TUNE MONEY LAUNCH ’S 1st “MOBILE ENABLED” VISA CARD SOLUTION

Kuala Lumpur, 2 August 2007 – Celcom (Malaysia) Bhd and Tune Money Sdn Bhd have signed a memorandum of understanding to launch Malaysia’s First Mobile-Enabled Visa Card Service. The Tune Money-Celcom Card will be offered to more than 6.4 Million Celcom mobile subscribers. The Mobile Financial Services will be superior to any mobile banking services currently available in the market as it will be linked to the widest range of merchants with over 115,000 Visa outlets in Malaysia alone.

Some of the key offerings will be Remittances, Fund Transfers, Bill Payments, Mobile Reloads, Real-Time Financial Access, Balance Inquiries and many more (to be announced at a later stage) all through the use of their mobile phones. Customers will be able to transfer money via simple mobile phone-to-mobile phone transactions besides having the ability to withdraw cash from the widest ATM network. In addition, Celcom’s Prepaid subscribers will be able to use the card to top-up their mobile prepaid accounts.

The Tune Money-Celcom Card is targeting consumers across the board – from foreign workers who wish to do low-cost remittance to high-end users who prefer the prepaid card to a credit card as a means of controlling their spending.

In the longer term, subscribers will be also able to do real-time transactions such as merchant payments using their mobile phone. Tune Money-Celcom Card subscribers will be able to use this card to make purchases at any merchant that has a Visa Plus mark at their outlets. Furthermore, the subscribers will be able to withdraw money from the global ATM network with the Visa Plus mark.

Celcom (Malaysia) Berhad’s Chief Executive Officer Dato’ Sri Shazalli Ramly said, “We are glad to collaborate with Tune Money to provide our customers with the convenience to carry out their Financial Services “Anytime, Anywhere using Any Mobile Phone”. We are revolutionizing the industry by allowing customers to not only perform inquiries, but enable simple transfers of money over the phone, and having the widest range of merchants for our subscribers to use their funds.”

Tune Money’s CEO hailed this new collaboration and partnership, pointing out that it was a major step forward for both Tune Money and Celcom.

“The beauty of it is that this service is now made available to all 6.4 Million Celcom subscribers, not just the high-end post paid customers.”

He pointed out that Tune Money is committed to serving the underserved and un-banked market and that this “Tune Money-Celcom Card” is a step in that direction: “In Malaysia, such facilities are usually only available to the top 30 per cent of the market. Our card essentially democratizes the system, opening it up to all sections of society. There is no minimum salary requirement to own a Tune Money-Celcom Card. As long as you’re a Celcom subscriber, you qualify.”

The “Tune Money-Celcom Card” will be personalized, which means subscribers can shop or pay their bills online as well as make payments through mail and telephone orders. Tune Money-Celcom Card holders will be able to:

• Perform financial transactions – account inquiries, statement requests, remittances and money transfers to own accounts and also from prepaid card accounts to 3rd party accounts by simply using their mobile phone; • Make purchases at any merchant that accepts the Visa card worldwide; • Make mail and telephone order purchases; • Make purchases over the Internet; • Withdraw cash at ATMs with the Visa Plus logo; • Pay bills at selected service providers (ex. Utility); • Transfer funds into their card simply using their mobile phones; • Transfer funds from one card to another card (P2P) using their mobile phones; • And many more services to be announced at a later period. - end -
