Yesterday’s Activity: Fire behavior increased yesterday due to hot and dry Fire Situation: weather conditions over the fire area. Unburned islands continued to burn and Grizzly Creek Fire – 30,719 acres smolder. Fire did make a push onto the plateau on the northwest side of the fire and air resources dropped retardant. Fire was active in the morning in near Bair Start Date: Aug. 10 Ranch and crews conducted burnout operations to secure containment. Location: Engines, heavy equipment, air resources and fire crews were utilized to achieve

containment objectives on the west, south and east flanks of the fire. Existing Containment: 33% control lines around the fire perimeter continued to hold. Firefighters began mop up operations in some portions of the fire. Resources: Hand Crews: 15 Today’s Activity: Increased fire behavior is expected again today. Burnout Helicopters: 7 operations are planned today in the Bair Ranch area and to the south.
