Serj Tankian släpper sina ”Imperfect Harmonies” 22 september. Multibegåvade Serj Tankian släpper sitt solo-album Imperfect Harmonies den 22 september. Albumet kommer två veckor senare än planerat eftersom gode Serj vill hinna förpacka skivan i samma miljövänliga papper som användes till hans förra album, Elect The Dead. Imperfect Harmonies är System of A Down frontmannens andra soloalbum. Precis som senast har Serj producerat allt material hemma i sin studio i Los Angeles. Serj beskriver nya albumet som mer rockigt än föregångaren; ”it’s punchy with many peaks throughout, but the instrumentation is somewhat different” Han berättar om utmaningen att göra rockmusik som går att arrangera om till fullt symfoniblås. Nya albumet är inspirerat av arbetet med solodebuten, Serj har på nya albumet fått ett stort självförtroende och känner sig mer hemma i symfoni-världen. På Imperfect Harmonies möter vi en självsäker soloartist som ständigt ler, med vetskapen om att han kan hantera både tunga rock-riff och finstämda harmonier. Kombinationen av båda är helt unik och det krävs en stark frontman att hålla ihop allt, som annars riskerar att flyga iiväg. Serj Tankian besökte Göteborg förra veckan, med sig hade han sitt tunga kompband FCC och utvalda delar ur Göteborgssymfonikerna.
