As of January 12, 2016, Microsoft has discontinued support of all Internet Explorer version prior to Internet Explorer 11. This means that Microsoft will no longer offer security updates or pro‐ vide technical support services for Internet Explorer versions 7, 8, 9, and 10. The continued use of unsupported IE versions could jeopardize the security of protected client data, place your organization at risk for data breaches, and threaten eligibility for state and fed‐ eral reimbursements, including meaningful use dollars. If your organization is still running IE8, IE9, or IE10, you’ll need to immediately develop and/or implement a plan to address any neces‐ sary hardware or software upgrades, and migrate all machines to IE11. We strongly urge your organization to comply with Microsoft’s time line and make all necessary upgrades as soon as possible. On July 1, 2016, Qualifacts will only support the two most recent versions of IE. Ending support of an old browser does not necessarily mean that CareLogic will stop working in that browser, but it does mean that the application will not perform optimally, and that new features and functionalities will not be tested or developed to meet the require‐ ments of those older browsers. Proprietary Information: For Use by Qualifacts and Our Customers Only Page 3 Configuring Internet Explorer Security Settings This section tells users how to configure the recommended security settings for Internet Explorer when operating CareLogic on Windows XP, Vista, or 7. CareLogic does not support Internet Explorer version 10 or 11 in Metro mode. Internet Explorer version 10 or 11 must be used in Desktop mode. If you are not finished updating Internet Explorer settings, skip this step. If you are not finished updating Internet Explorer settings, you may skip this step. The settings will be applied the next time Internet Explorer is launched. Configuring Internet Explorer HTTPS Settings This section tells users how to configure the recommended HTTPS security settings for Internet Explorer when operating CareLogic on Internet Explorer 8, 9, 10, and 11. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) has been the Internet standard for secure web traffic since 1995. SSL encrypts information sent between a computer’s web browser and a web site’s servers. Web site addresses that start with HTTP send and receive unencrypted information. Site addresses that start with HTTPS addresses, like CareLogic, encrypt all information sent. The need for a new type of security encryption arose when security flaws were discovered with the introduction of the POODLE virus in the latest version of SSL. Transport Layer Security (TLS) Proprietary Information: For Use by Qualifacts and Our Customers Only Page 9 is the industry recommended best practice for encrypting data in transit and is the replacement protocol for SSL. Configuring IE HTTPS security settings when operating CareLogic on IE 8, 9, 10, and 11 1. Launch Internet Explorer 2. Navigate to Tools > Internet Options 3. Select the Advanced tab 4. Scroll down to the end of the Settings list to find the SSL & TLS settings 5. Make the following selections: ‐ Use TLS 1.0 ‐ Use TLS 1.1 ‐ Use TLS 1.2 ‐ Leave Use SSL 2.0 and Use SSL 3.0 selected, do not deselect the SSL settings. ‐ CareLogic will automatically use TLS rather than SSL once TLS is enabled 6. Click OK to save the Security Certificate settings 7. Once the Internet Explorer settings are updated, close and restart Internet Explorer; you do not have to restart your computer If you are not finished updating Internet Explorer settings, you may skip this step. The settings will be applied the next time Internet Explorer is launched. IE8 only supports TLS 1.0. While this is compatible with CareLogic, your agency should consider upgrading to a more recent version of Internet Explorer. Proprietary Information: For Use by Qualifacts and Our Customers Only Page 10 Disabling Pop‐up Blockers CareLogic uses pop‐up messages to bring warnings and messages to your attention. You will need to disable the pop‐up blocker. 1. Launch Internet Explorer 2. Navigate to Tools > Internet Options 3. Select the Privacy tab 4. In Pop‐up Blocker section, uncheck the box 5. Click OK 6. Once the Internet Explorer settings are updated, close and restart Internet Explorer; you do not have to restart your computer If you are not finished updating Internet Explorer settings, you may skip this step. The settings will be applied the next time Internet Explorer is launched. Internet Explorer Favorites When using CareLogic, if you create a favorite (bookmark) in Internet Explorer after logging in to CareLogic, the favorite shortcut will access a cached and out of date page. For example, if you bookmark the Schedule screen after logging in to CareLogic, the next time you access the page using the favorite shortcut, it will not reflect the current information. Proprietary Information: For Use by Qualifacts and Our Customers Only Page 11 To correct this problem, any favorite must be created before logging in to CareLogic. • Picasa Getting Started Guide
Picasa Getting Started Guide Picasa is free photo management software from Google that helps you find, edit and share your photos in seconds. We recommend that you print out this brief overview of Picasa's main features and consult it as you use the program for the first time to learn about new features quickly. Organize Once you start Picasa, it scans your hard drive to find and automatically organize all your photos. Picasa finds the following photo and movie file types: • Photo file types: JPG, GIF, TIF, PSD, PNG, BMP, RAW (including NEF and CRW). GIF and PNG files are not scanned by default, but you can enable them in the Tools > Options dialog. • Movie file types: MPG, AVI, ASF, WMV, MOV. If you are upgrading from an older version of Picasa, you will likely want to keep your existing database, which contains any organization and photo edits you have made. To transfer all this information, simply install Picasa without uninstalling Picasa already on your computer. On your first launch of Picasa you will be prompted to transfer your existing database. After this process is complete, you can uninstall Picasa. Library view Picasa automatically organizes all your photo and movie files into collections of folders inside its main Library view. Layout of main Library screen: Picasa Getting Started Guide Page 1 of 9 Folder list The left-hand list in Picasa's Library view shows all the folders containing photos on your computer and all the albums you've created in Picasa. These folders and albums are grouped into collections that are described in the next section.

Benefits of house calls • Offers insights not available during an office visit • Provides accessible healthcare for the patient • Helps to save money by helping to keep those who are having a minor ailment from turning into a major operation. The decline of the house call • Lack of efficiency • Time required • Fewer family physicians • Poor reimbursement • Biomedical knowledge and technology • Growth of 3rd party payers • Heightened liability concerns Why are house calls coming back? • Projected increase in the number of elderly • Consumer demand • Hospital readmission reduction • The concept also has had "absolute rock-solid bipartisan support" among federal lawmakers.

CISC 322 Assignment 1: Report Google Chrome’s Browser: Conceptual Architecture Friday, October 19, 2018 Group: Bits...Please! Emma Ritcey [email protected] Kate MacDonald [email protected] Brent Lommen [email protected] Bronwyn Gemmill [email protected] Chantal Montgomery [email protected] Samantha Katz [email protected] Bits...Please! Abstract The Google Chrome browser was investigated to determine its conceptual architecture. After reading documentation online and analyzing reference web browser architectures, the high level conceptual architecture of Chrome was determined to be a layered style. Individual research was done before collaborating as a group to finalize our proposed architecture. The conceptual architecture was proposed to coincide with Chrome’s four core principles (4 S’s): simplicity, speed, security, and stability. In depth research was completed in the render and browser engine subsystems which had the architectures styles object oriented and layered, respectively. Using the proposed architecture, the process of a user logging in and Chrome saving the password, as well as Chrome rendering a web page using JavaScript were explored in more detail. To fully understand the Chrome browser, Chrome’s concurrency model was investigated and determined to be a multi-process architecture that supports multi-threading. As well, team issues within Chrome and our own team were reported to support our derivation process and proposed architecture. 1 Bits...Please! Table of Contents Abstract 1 Table of Contents 2
