COACH PITCH GAME RULES

1. THE MOT IMPORTANT RULE IS TO BE SAFE AND HAVE FUN 2. PLEASE MARK ALL ITEMS WITH YOUR PLAYER’S NAME. THE LEAGUE OR COACHES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN ITEMS 3. *****AN ADULT MUST BE PRESENT AT ALL PRACTICES AND GAMES****** 4. ( and ) should be worn at all games 5. A must be worn when batting or running bases 6. Regular season games will start at 10:30 AM and end at 11:45 and softball games will start at 12:00 and end by 1:15 7. Bases should be 50’ apart with the pitcher at 30’ 8. The coach for the batting team pitches while the coach for the fielding team catches 9. A team must have no more than 10 players on the field, no less than 4 outfield and no more than 6 infield 10. Batter limit must be equal for both teams. Please discuss with opposing coach prior to start of game 11. Batting lineup stays the same for the entire game 12. No player will sit out more than 2 innings 13. An inning consists of batting through your lineup or 3 outs, whichever comes first. An out at bat consists of 3 swinging strikes 14. Base runners can be thrown out at the plate. Tagging is also allowed while not on base or while on the wrong base according to established baseball rules. 15. A player can be thrown out at home, but only by the adult catcher. The catch must be made between the chin and the knees, and between the elbows, while the catcher has at least one foot on the plate. The catcher may not tag the runner or run back to the plate to obtain the out. 16. The length of the game should be 4 innings, if time allows 17. There will be no bat throwing, walks, bunting, base stealing, lead-offs or sliding. This a safety based rule. First offense is a warning and subsequent offenses will result in an out. 18. Outs should be called by that players coach…be fair and honest about the call 19. Timeouts must be called before a pitch or once the lead runner has stopped 20. The adult pitcher cannot make a play, the adult catcher can only make a play at home per rule 14 21. Play stops once the crosses home plate or is returned to the pitcher 22. Scores may be kept for your team’s reference. The league does not recognize wins or losses and does not keep standings
