Media Markt sends its Mediamobile to 2014: Show match against ESL stars – 15 participants wanted

Ingolstadt, 05.08.2014: Media Markt's Mediamobile, well-known from the company's advertising, is making a stop at this year's gamescom in Cologne. From 13 to 17 August, the fire-engine red truck will be the venue for the Media Markt Challenge gaming competition, where a total of 15 participants from the public will have the opportunity to play against top players from the ESL league. Some of the participants will be selected via and Twitter and the others live at the venue. The 15 participants will receive a valuable Fast Lane ticket as a thank-you.

During the gamescom, the Mediamobile will be situated at the site P8 in the northern part of the trade fair ground's outdoor area. The truck is well equipped: The back section of the truck has PS4, Nintendo and game consoles ready for demonstration, together with the latest game highlights for testing. In addition, a covered area with gaming PCs, chairs and monitors will be set up next to the truck. This is where the matches for the Media Markt Challenge will be held, which the audience will be able to watch in real time on the Mediamobile's large LED screen.

Three matches a day during the duration of the trade fair The challenge will take place during all five days of the trade fair, with three matches held each day. The games played will be the gaming favorites FIFA 14, Ultra Street Fighter IV and StarCraft 2: Heart of the

Swarm; the individual matches last 45 minutes and start at 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. respectively. The participants will be competing against the prize-winning ESL stars Sascha 'Poldi' Schuhmacher, Ryan 'Prodigal Son' Hart and Sascha 'GoOdy' Lupp. Two procedures

will be involved in selecting the 15 participants: Ten players will be determined by Media Markt Germany in advance via Facebook and Twitter, which is where those interested can now submit their names for selection.The other five players will be selected live, on site, from among the spectators gathered in front of the Mediamobile – one each day. Tim Feldner, who has appeared numerous times at gamescom and is well-known among gamers, will be moderating the show matches.
