Friday, May 15, 2015 Wiggle It Jiggleit in His World Record Friday, May 15, 2015 "I won the Meadowlands Pace, I won a division of the Hambletonian Oaks, I have won $1 million races, and I was more excited to see that race than any of those others," he said. "It was more exciting for me than any race I have ever Is Wiggle It Jiggleit Ready to be the Sport's seen. I have never seen a horse do what he did the other night." Next Megastar? It's like Wiggle It Jiggleit came out of nowhere. A horse By Bill Finley with a far from fashionable pedigree, he raced just once Can anybody beat Wiggle It Jiggleit? For that matter, can last year before Teague and his cohort, listed trainer Clyde anybody come close to beating Wiggle It Jiggleit? Francis, put the gelding away for the year. After an easy Based on what happened on an otherwise sleepy win in January at Dover, Wiggle It reappeared in the Monday evening earlier this week at Harrington Raceway Sonsam Series at the Meadowlands, a 3-year-old taking on those are legitimate questions. Maybe he'll come crashing older horses. He won that race in 1:49.4 and has never down to earth when he faces better competition. Or maybe slowed down. Eight races into his career, he is undefeated he'll just keep crushing every opponent that stands in his and looking better all the time. way, like great Part of the excitement is due to the words that keep horses do. Be a flowing out of Teague's mouth. He has trained a Horse of skeptic if you the Year (Rainbow Blue) and numerous stars and was want, but all the saying all the way back in February that this was the best signs are pointing horse he's ever trained. Now, he's willing to go even towards this being further. one of the most "I'm not a bragger but I told people this was the best special horses (continued on next page) Wiggle It Jiggleit in his world record that has come performance Monday at Harrington around in a long time. At the very least, the possibilities are wonderfully exciting. The funny thing about Wiggle It Jiggleit is that he's never competed for a big purse or faced a good horse. But, in this case, that doesn't seem to matter. What he has done has been so special that it's almost impossible to imagine that he could be a fluke. The latest chapter occurred Monday at Harrington, and it was the most sensational one yet. Owner George Teague Jr. snuck his homebred by Mr. Wiggles into an $11,000 overnight race at Harrington. Considering the level of competition, it amounted to a training mile, not at all the type of spot where he could have been expected to enter the record books. But he did. Winning by 14 1/4 lengths, he paced in 1:49, the fastest mile ever by a 3-year-old on a half-mile track. And he did so with driver Montrell Teague, George's son, sitting like a statue in the sulky. (To watch the race click xx) "I have never seen a horse go in 1:49 on a half-mile racetrack in May and win by almost 15 lengths and the whip was never raised," George Teague said. "I've seen a lot of great horses race, but I've never seen a horse do what he did the other day. I've never seen a horse that has the bit full up in his mouth ever time he races and every time he crosses the wire." Though the purse was a mere $11,000, Teague said Monday's win was one of the highlights of his career. Ontario Sires Stakes 2015 SCHEDULE A tradition of excellence. TB Ontario Racing Commission AMENDED* RULING NUMBER COM SB 025/2007 COMMISSION HEARING TORONTO, ONTARIO – JULY 25 & 26, 2007 WRITTEN SUBMISSIONS COMPLETED AUGUST 16, 2007 IN THE MATTER OF THE RACING COMMISSION ACT, S.O. 2000, c.20; AND IN THE MATTER OF THE APPLICATION OF STANDARDBRED OWNER AUBREY FRIEDMAN Standardbred* Owner Aubrey Friedman ("Friedman") requested a hearing before the Ontario Racing Commission to hear an application requiring Woodbine Entertainment Group ("WEG"), to accept entries of horses owned by him. On May 9, 2007, the Commission convened an initial hearing to consider whether to assume jurisdiction, and to consider an interim order requested by Friedman. The Commission ruled that it would take jurisdiction to review the actions of WEG and declined to grant the interim relief. On that occasion, on application by the Ontario Harness Horse Association ("OHHA"), the Commission granted intervenor status to OHHA. On June 6, 2007, on request by Friedman, the Panel reconvened to hear a further request for interim relief. The Panel issued a Ruling granting interim relief permitting the horses YORKY'S GIRL, HARE IN MOTION, and two-year-old horses owned by Friedman, to be entered at all Ontario racetracks for all Ontario Sires Stakes events for which they met the qualifying standards and conditions. On July 25 and 26, 2007, the Commission convened to hear the merits of the Application. On that occasion, the Commission heard a motion for intervenor status by Western Fair Raceway, and heard submissions for Western Fair Raceway. On the consent of all counsel, the evidence tendered in support of the hearing to consider whether to assume jurisdiction, and for interim relief, was accepted as evidence on the merits of the Application.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Indiana Horse Racing Commission Megan Arszman 1302 N. Meridian St. Indianapolis, IN 46202 317-232-2897 x22897 [email protected] http://www.in.gov/hrc/sb.htm Three Years, Three Indiana-Sired Horses Win Horse of the Year For the third year in a row, an Indiana-sired Standardbred has been named Horse of the Year by the United States Harness Writers Association (USHWA). During the USHWA Dan Patch Awards, held at the Rosen Shingle Creek resort in Orlando, Fla., over the weekend, super trotting mare Hannelore Hanover capped a storybook racing season with being named Aged Trotting Mare, Trotting Horse and Horse of the Year. This on the heels of winning Canada’s O’Brien Awards as Older Trotting Mare and Horse of the Year earlier in February. “Every time she went to the gate this year, she had her flubs and she had her this and that, but she did things that you just don’t see many mares do,” says co-owner Mickey Burke Jr. “She beat some really nice male trotters and won some really big races. She came out of the year just as strong as she started it. She’s just an amazing mare, and you don’t get many of these.” Hannelore Hanover was bred by Hanover Shoe Farms. She is a daughter of Swan For All, who stands at Victory Hill Farm in Northeastern Indiana, and out of High Sobriety. In 2017, the mare won 10 out of 17 races, earning $1.04 million. On top of winning the Breeders Crown Open Trot over the mares, she trotted the fastest mile ever by a female during the Allerage Farms Open Trot, finishing in 1:49.2.
