October 23, 2020 CITY OF LONDON BACKFLOW PREVENTION & MONITORING PROGRAM REGISTERED TESTERS LIST In accordance with the Ontario Building Code and City of London Water By-law # W-8, any existing or new Reduced Pressure Backflow Preventers, Double Check Valve Assemblies, and Pressure Vacuum Breakers are required to be inspected and tested upon installation, when cleaned, repaired or overhauled, when relocated, and annually thereafter by a tester registered with the City of London. No person shall without the permission of the City remove any cross connection control or backflow prevention devices. Installation, replacement, and/or repair of testable backflow prevention devices must be performed by a qualified Plumber currently licensed by the Province of Ontario. Plumbing Contractors also require a current City of London Plumbing Contractor Business License. The following is a list of certified Cross Connection and Backflow Prevention Device Testers who have registered with the City of London. Please contact these registered testers directly and check their references and insurance and discuss costs prior to proceeding with any work as they are not employed by the City of London.
