Finding your way through Newlands… • The M63 (Newlands Avenue) winds down towards the Main Road and becomes Klipper Weg • Turn right At the Klipper Weg / Main Road intersection onto Main Road • Travel South past Newlands Rugby Stadium (appearing on your left) then Newlands Pool (appearing on your right) and finally straight over the San Souci Road / Main Road intersection • Shortly after the Newlands Southern Sun Hotel (appearing on your left) take the ramp left directly off Main Road and park in a designated visitors bay • Mariendahl House is situated adjacent to the visitor’s bays and Security is available near the entrance to the underground parking garage should you require further assistance 2. From Cape Town International Airport… • Travel South on the N2 towards Cape Town • Stay in the far left lane and take the M3 Muizenberg turn-off (the right hand lane will take you to the City Centre) • Travel South on the M3 and take the Princess Anne Avenue turn-off to the left which winds down towards Main Road and becomes Klipper Weg • See 1. Finding your way through Newlands… 3. From Cape Town City Centre… • From the Foreshore, take the M3 out of the City Centre in the direction of the Southern Suburbs/Muizenberg • From Fresnaye/Camps Bay, take De Waal Drive which merges with the M3 • Just beyond the University of Cape Town (appearing on your right), take the Princess Anne Avenue turn-off to the left which winds down towards Main Road and becomes Klipper Weg • See 1. Finding your way through Newlands… 4. From Muizenberg… • Travel North on Main road through Lakeside and turn left at the traffic lights towards Steenberg (Steenberg Road) • Take the M3 off-ramp / Simon Van Der Stel Road (off-ramp appears after the first set of traffic lights on the left and loops under Steenberg Road) • Simon Van Der Stel Road becomes Edinburgh Drive and continue with this road until you reach a large intersection (with Shell Garage just beyond the intersection) where you should turn right into Protea Road • Continue with Protea Road until you reach the Main Road where you will turn left at the Protea Road / Main Road intersection (The Vineyard Engen Garage is situated on the corner of this intersection) • The Newlands on Main complex is situated on the opposite side of the Main Road and Mariendahl House is behind the Cubana Restaurant • Please Take note that you are not able to enter the Newlands on Main complex on the left hand side of the road and the ramp that takes you off Main Road to Mariendahl House is only accessible on the other side of the Main Road (Newlands Southern Sun Hotel side of Main Road) 5. From Northern Suburbs along the N1 • Take the N1 South towards Cape Town • Take the M5 turn-off sign posted Muizenberg (Black River Parkway) and continue South • Take the N2 / Settlers Way turn-off to the left which loops under the M5 / Black River Parkway • Continue on Settlers Way towards the mountain and take the M3 / Muizenberg off-ramp to the left • Take the Princess Anne Avenue turn-off to the left which winds down towards Main Road and becomes Klipper Weg • See 1.     DIRECTIONS FROM CAPE TOWN Take the N1 highway out of the city and then take the N7 highway in the direction of Malmesbury. Continue on the N7 for approx. 220km. Just after you start seeing the Clanwilliam Dam, look out for the off-ramp (to the left). At the T-junction you turn right to travel into the town of Clanwilliam. Stay on this road, passing two petrol stations on the left hand side. (Do NOT turn off to the right into the Main Road.) Stay on this road to travel out of the town in the direction of the mountain range. Approx 2km from the town (after a small hill), you turn left onto the road with a green signpost for Klawer. Look at your speedometer and note your kilometers. Approx 3.1 km on this road, you will see our gate & sign on the right hand side. Drive through our gate and up to the lodge. DIRECTIONS FROM THE WINELANDS There are a variety of routes depending on whether you are coming.If you are coming from Stellenbosch, take the R304 north. This road crosses over the main N2 highway and continues north to Malmesbury where the R304 merges with the R302 to continue as the R302. When you get to the town of Malmesbury, you follow signs for the N7 north towards Mooreesburg, PIketberg. Stay on the N7 for 158km and when you get to Clanwilliam, you follow the directions below…. If you are coming from Franschhoek or Paarl, travel to and through Paarl and then take the R44 north past Wellington.
